Write to Steam support and ask them why Activision gives a better deal to the customers on battle net, while at the same time offer worse deal on Steam (it's against Valve ToS to sell the game cheaper outside of Steam)

It's worth noting that the developers were aware of the problem for a few days and refused to address it, in their statement they also claim this is Valve's fault while Valve claims this is developer's fault and right now both sides are just shifting blame.

We don't have Valve's statement that it wasn't their doing, we only have response from a few different support agents that know even less about this whole issue than we are...

Devs are in contact with their rep from Valve (who probably knows more about it, than regular support agent) and they are saying that they working on resolving this issue.

It's a time waste even if it's illegal*, Steam won't remove any game based on user reports alone, even if the game is using stolen IP or copyrighted assets they still won't remove it, they will remove it only if they get complain from actual owner, not from random dude.

Getting a key from someone else isn´t piracy, so I am very interested in hearing from the Dev what they actually mean with this. Seeing however how outrages he posts in the Steamworks forum, I don´t think any reasonable or logical post will ever the forthcoming from him.

I think dev assumed that aquatorrent might have purchased the review key from grey market or so, but he actually got it the legit way by being a member of Reviewers' Paradise group, that tasks their members to write game reviews like real game journalists do, so no piracy there, the dev is wrong here.

I don't believe that game journalist isn't allowed to create guides for games that they didn't purchase, but they have access to them by having a press copy, especially if the press copy is actually a final build of the game.

It's private group that only Steam partners has access to, meaning that you actually need to pay $100 fee to Valve for a free AppID that you can use to publish your own game.

I don't have access to that group too, so I have no idea what it's said following that link.

i'm not sure how to do a report to valve though. i'm still reaching them out from support, but their response is very slow.

I would say it's possible via Twitter only, to actually reach someone from a big corporation by just tagging a person, or by tagging the whole company. All other methods such as writing to official e-mails and etc. is just useless, you'll be talking to support rep. instead of someone who's voice actually matters.

1) Rocket League isn't a singleplayer game, so forcing people to use online login is fine, even if the game have some sort of solo mode (Counter Strike also have solo mode with bots, but it's still a multiplayer game)

2) No one force you to install anything new, the game' store page was hidden, but you still can download and continue to play Rocket League via Steam client. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

3) When Destiny 2 became F2P & also exclusive to Steam, people who purchased it in a different platform were actually forced to move to another launcher just to be able to continue to play! The paid copy of Destiny 2 was removed from my library, while the Rocket League is still here!

P.S.
The Destiny 2 migration process should be completed manually before October 1, 2020. I'm not sure if it will be possible after that date, at least Bungie said that they will stop giving refunds after that date, so just in case I recommend to do it before that date.

I think Valve won't listen to anyone, unless if it's coming from their partners (i.e. publishers). And it will be too much to ask CDPR to ask Valve why they were recommended to sell their game with higher price in that separate region.
