Well I tweeted at Alden Kroll a few days ago, letting him know about Wytchsun and Greylaw and he's just replied back that they're going to take a look at it.

Oh ok, is it normally a press statement you ask for? it's just I see that woods looting game, you received an email back about that. I guess i just want confirmation from Steam that they are aware and are looking into this anti-consumer behaviour at the very least. So frustrating trying to contact them for months, only for it to always fall on deaf ears as i don't have 100k twitter followers etc, if they are going to make users curate the store themselves they should do better than just flat out ignoring us :(

isn't it worth it to still pass this knowledge on to Steam, they should be able to see internally just how many times this dev (Metropolisim) has changed his internal release date (not the public release date that steam users get to see) to game the upcoming games list.

This is by far the worst offender i have ever seen doing this, has been going on for months now, he bans anyone from his forums who mentions his behaviour too. Game "releases" every 5-7 days, once it lapses into new releases, within a day the internal release date gets put back by 5-7 days, so within another day or 2 he's straight back on the front page of upcoming releases.

Does not matter one bit that the internal release date is not shown to steam users, it's very easy to work out a games internal release date, just look for it on the all upcoming games list, you will see games with real public release dates either side of the game in question, allowing you to 100% correctly infer the internal date the dev has set on his own game.

Cool, thanks, is there any reason why Steam havn't taken action on this/these games yet? I take it you emailed your contacts like you do with other dodgy games/devs? it's infuriating Steam are letting him get away with this, this will actively promote other dodgy devs doing exactly the same thing if Steam don't respond.
