Agreed. That is sound thinking. There should always be someone to investigate suspicious activity with certain games. A form of transparency if you think about it, and allowed for others to view it and make up their own minds.

What exactly was wrong with infinity nikki? I heard the game was good. Sorry but i been out camping for the last 2 weeks, so i may not be aware of what happened.

Yea either the scammer tends to remove the post fast so they prevent getting mass reported, or they get reported by someone and get removed. Ive seen both examples happen on steam.

Just saw one today for Silent Hill F. Warned people that it was fake. Guess steam removed it at least. The post was removed too fast to have a link to the post on the community forum, but it was there.

At least i forced the scammer on his fake accounts to respond to me wasting their time. They try to deny if was real and posted alot of fake accounts or their spare accounts they stole to try to convince people it was real.

Why i am posting this game: It only has 2 user review. There is a lack of players or at least players on steam leaving reviews.

Looks like a perfect childrens game. Not sure why more people have not tried it. Looks cute too. I am unsure why people on steam are avoiding playing it. It looks decent from the videos ive seen of it and could be fun for people who like natural disaster type games and fixing stuff. I actually ran across this game several years ago when a friend of mine talked about how their child played it on their steam account.

Why people may avoid it: IT was originally made on epic game store. Also, lack of advertising it may have caused people to not be aware of it.

I at least recommend people to try it as i would like to see more reviews of the game before purchasing it myself. And yes, i still play kids games too. As far as i know, there is nothing negative about this game, but just wanted to get the word out about it.

They have done this in the past on here, but i found it interesting that now people are also trying it more now on consoles. Basically, a person makes a similar named game to trick people into buying the fake type game, but it sounds like the actual game with slighty altered name. I found for example REPO scam game is now on console PS5 and people fell for it:

Again, not common on steam as people have done this before, but now it is being done in consoles too. The fact it is being done more is alarming as this type of scam may increase further into the future. I hope valve is aware of stuff like this and hope they curtail it when it gets worse on steam, and yes, it will.

Interstingly enough, the fake game is not found on steam. It is called REPO: GHOST HAUL.
