We need these mods !
In no particular order, this is what we need ! :)

1. Faster Battle Speed, more FPS (Like the mod for FFIV)
2. Better environment graphics that matches the characters
3. Edit the timer to get the Excalibur II (Time cheat)
4. Make it so you dont accidentally click the in game cheats
5. Audio fix, the card game and many weird noises this PC version has, is nearly unbearable
6. Change costumes for characters
7. Use trance when you want (I know that would be hard to make)
8. Controller fix !! D-pad is the only thing that works, otherwise im just running in weird places.
9. Higher damage for enemies and just more challenging battles (Like the mods for FFVIII but more simple). Its such an easy game and if the enemies would be harder, it would be so much fun playing again.
I have a mod like that for the PSX version but i dont know if it works for PC.

A controller fix mod is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=665953495. It appears to fix a lot of issues for a lot of users.

Funny I play with my PS3 controller using the xinput wrapper and only issue I have is Xbox button prompts suck for FF games. As for the timer MrAntifun has made a game trainer with an option to reset the timer to 0 at any time. Trance can be induced by turning on the F2 cheat at the start of battle then turning it off again right after trance is active.(That way you don't get the other cheats for that button)

Ok awesome.
How can you locate the MrAntifun game trainer you speak of ? :D
And does the xbox mod work with PS3 controllers ?
vigilnova666 16 Apr, 2016 @ 5:14am
For the MrAntifun trainer I won't post a link but you can find it on his website which is easy to find on google. (I don't know if I am allowed to post external links to such things) As for the mod just google Xinput wrapper and go to the PCSX2 forum link which should be near the top. It essentially makes a PS3 controller plugnplay by inserting a service into windows which recognises a PS3 controller as Xbox and assigns it's buttons accordingly. Not even hard to set up either.

If I am given permission I'll post a link to MrAntifun's website as he does a LOT of great game trainers and has done big work on trainers for most FF games and even Dragon age inquisition

Wow thats awesome, and are they for the steam version as well ?

About the Xpad, my PS3 controller works and is recognized by the game, but im having the same problem as most people, that the analog doesnt work, just the D pad.
The mapping for running is terrible because you run right or left 90% of the time lol.

Im pretty sure you're allowed because if you look at steam FFVIII mod forum there is endless websites of mods that are supported there.

As I said try xinput wrapper. I have never had ANY trouble with any games with it.
As for the website I suppose they can just delet my post if they dont want it around(Or ask me to) The website is {LINK REMOVED} Just either go to the trainers section and look for the thread or search in the box for Final fantasy IX and it should be one of the first few posts(Not one which says Req or request)

Cool, i have the time cheat now. Thanks :)
vigilnova666 16 Apr, 2016 @ 7:18am
No problem. I am about to write a guide on how to hack the timer in chocobo hot and cold if you are interested. :t0cactuar:
MagiMetal 16 Apr, 2016 @ 8:20am
Half of these mods are already built into the game you're asking for as toggle-able options.

Use the trigger buttons in the pause menu.
vigilnova666 16 Apr, 2016 @ 8:33am
Numbers 1,7 and 9 are in game(though I found superspeed to be a little TOO speedy lol)
but most of the rest are pretty valit requests(Canging costumes might be asking a bit too much tho).

On a side note I have just finished the guide I mentioned in my previous post if anybody is interested. :t0tonberry:

-Costumes were a little bit changed in FFV and FFVI here on steam so it could be tinkered with.
-Faster battle speed like FFIV mod is not like the one you are talking about.
What i mean by FFIV mod is higher FPS.
-7 is correct, so thats good
-what do u mean by 9? They are not in game. Enemies do more damage?
Nope no mod for that yet

So yes you are right about 7 but the rest we need :o

And about the guide, i would totally use it if it werent super easy and fun already. I love that Hot and Cold mini game and wouldnt change it for the world. But always nice to have more mods so thank you sir. I for one appreciate it.

Kinda glad I'm not the only one who wants to be able to get the Excalibur 2 at any time. That thing is just ridiculous.
GuyInDogSuit 16 Apr, 2016 @ 10:13pm
I could have sworn there was already a thread just like this, with the same exact requests...
