That happens to me too, i would like to know a fix. It's odd because I played the game with Krisan's Mods last year and didn't have issues with the console outfits, I wonder what is failing now.
Just installing the console content mod brings this bug for me, I just launch the bat, it works with no errors, and in-game the models are non textured, white, glowing Hope and Lightning.
Ok I fixed it, you just have to revert to 1.0 before installing the patch, all is done through the .bat in the mod itself.
Yeah, I thought it meant that if you were installing with the new method for the first time on top of some old modded files you had to revert them before.
Just a quick question, if reverting to 1.0 is required, why not make it mandatory and automatic ? I know you don't need to do it when you update the mod but the process is pretty fast so it wouldn't really be a problem having to do it every time, it would stop dumb people (like me), or non native english speakers (also like me) from running into this problem.
One last point, I installed the missing content, PS3 icons, monster glow begone and the rain fix and every mod worked, except for the rain fix, I managed to get it working by using the 1.0 files lying around in my HDD that use the old installation method, but installing it with the new method (v1.2) never worked, even though it returned no errors and I managed to install every other mod without any problem using the same exact method.
Anyway, nice work, you make the game way more enjoyable B)
It was a sort of compromise to offer as much compatibility as possible. It's not totally ideal but honestly since the readme explains this I didn't think it would matter much. Ultimately this game wasn't designed for modding, so there's a lot of hoops to jump through to make anything work right at all. (And looking back I think it's pretty wild we got away with what we did. lol)
Plus if it gets me the rare donation as well, I'll be happy. (I'm a poor ol' modder person, I'll take what I can get. lol)
Anyone know where I can find a good guide on how to get these mods to work?
Like Xbox Button Prompts mod just doesn't work no matter what i do.
I remember patching the game a few months back when I unfortunately didn't have time to play it after all so I just removed all the old files again... back then it worked flawlessly, I believe that was with the button prompt mod version 2.0.
So, did any of the people having the same problem figure out a solution yet? If not, is there a possibility to just have a download link for the 2.0 version again? Would really like to retry that one...
This is why we don't have Aerith's garb and equipment in Lightning Returns, because they took out the assets before the game was even released, so we don't have the original files to simply put back where they were. And taking the files from the console DLC and putting them in doesn't work either, because they coded it differently on PC.
