7th Heaven - Final Fantasy 7 guide.
Hi guys, I will update this post in time.

Since popularity has exploded over the past couple weeks, I thought I would make a post here on how to use mods with FF7.

7th Heaven is a mod manager developed to make it easy to use mods on the english version of the game it can be downloaded from the website which I manage below.

https://7thheaven.rocks/

I am also the creator of the ESUI mod (enhanced stock UI), co author of some other mods, and have been part of the development team for a few years so can answer any questions.

If you wish to install mods on FF7, then the easiest way is to download the mod manager, then inside the mod manager is a catalog section on the right tab, from here you can pick from a high number of mods, that are split into specific categories. Typically you would only pick one mod from each category, but there is some exception where some mods of the same type can be used together.

You can download as many mods as you want and deactivate mods you are not interested in, these will stay on your system should you change your mind later.

7th Heaven will install some support files on first run, mainly the custom FFNX driver, but importantly it will not patch your core files, so it wont replace the default menu module, the field scripts, the textures, the FMVs, sound and so forth, the mods are patched in via memory.

It has an auto sort feature (now on by default) which should be used most of the time as the mod developers are aware of any potential conflicts and will set their mods to be ordered by the autosort correctly.

Typically most players of the game will usually either want a modernised experience, replacement sounds, high res modern menu, retextures, voice acting, that sortof stuff, all these are options with various mods in the catalog, but however if you want the original artistic impression of the game perhaps with just upscaling, then there is also mods that serve those needs as well, you can build your own FF7.

I will later post some suggested mods, however I want to stress I think its good to explore everything available, as every mod has had love put into it.

As of the time of this post, there is heavy demand on the hosting servers, so downloads will be slower than usual, please bear in mind there is no registration, and the bandwidth is donated free for the downloads so please be respectful of that.

FF XIII-2: Krisan's Mod Releases (Subscribe for Notifications!)
So I had to reset my game files because for some reason the game got locked to Japanese audio.

So of course means i have to reapply the mods, I remember there used to be a guide which documented the order they have to be installed, but I now cannot seem to find it.

So hopefully I have this right?

CCP first
Before installing CCP revert game to 1.0 - cannot find how to do this easily within the readme, but someone on steam thankfully detailed the process which is to select the option from the batch script first.
Then monster mod pack

Apotamkins closet replaces existing costumes so not sure whether I want this? It was "not" previously installed I think as I didnt have the zip extracted.
Xbox button prompts seems to be replaced with a generic console button prompts?

Someone on Patreon has claimed the latest monster mod pack is broken when using alongside CCP, but I see no such comments here so I am hoping it isnt the case.

I do still have what seems like backups of my previously patched files, but I am going to try the newer patches first as there has been updates on patreon.

Also very sneaky of SE!!!. I did notice there was a update to the game on steam, no release notes, just silence, and to find out it was to sneakily remove content, that was very low of them.

-- update

So after a quick test fire up of the game, I can see xbox buttons dont work on the new version, am hoping the bugs mentioned on patreon for the monsters are an incorrect report. It would be nice to know which costumes are replaced again on the closet mod as I forgot from when it was first made. :) Otherwise seems ok, english audio working, console content present, caius and other crystals present.
