So, I'm quite certain that the PC version of Final Fantasy V already has SNES music.

It's a port of the mobile version, which already restored the music from the GBA version.

Well, general rule of thumb is 30 for large, 60-80 for medium, and 90-120 for small enemies. Notable exceptions being only 30 Cactuar, and all unique enemies on the final day are also 30. I'm not certain on whether or not it'd be feasible to put a counter in the game or not, but the game kind of already gives you a tracking method. You can tell how many you've killed by looking at the number of trash item that mob drops in your inventory taking into consideration how many you've given up to the Canvas of Prayers and/or Side Quests.

You don't really need a mod for that. They coded chocobo music so poorly in this game. Just transition area while you're riding a chocobo and the chocobo music is gone. What would need a mod would be to keep chocobo music on all the time.

For sure it'd be better, and it will be done, but we haven't and I don't think ever will have promised release dates for mods. With almost about every one that has ever been done, unforeseen circumstances have almost always arisen to make life difficult. These games really don't like being modded, and sometimes we have to fix new problems that crop up for seemingly no apparent reason when adding something new to the game. Things you guys never really hear about that I doubt you probably wouldn't believe even if we told you. I've run into things that even Krisan didn't believe until I showed him. It's certainly a process that requires patience and problem solving skills, but not always in a logical way. Sometimes, Square-Enix's logic is... strange, to say the least.

Texture mods are being looked into, but one of Square's odd leaps in logic exists in regards to glow effects and colors. It blew a graphic designer's mind so hard that it melted his brain and caused him to have a panicked rest with how little sense it made. I'm not kidding. :P

I agree, that's pretty annoying. The same exists for a few other monsters too, it's definitely intentional, because there isn't a Last One for Vali, only Hanuman. Semi-related as well is the Dryad enemy, who I'm sure you're familiar with / annoyed by, the summons that it does do count towards the extinction counter, but the ones that get summoned do not drop any items or abilities.

On one hand, yes, this is something that has been discussed and considered. Not just for mods but I'm sure even since the initial release, this is something that people have wanted to do. But on the other hand, this does, in a way, destroy the indivuality of each outfit, which sets aside the purpose of each outfit carrying a theme. Being able to freely upgrade and/or replace all the skill slots on a garb, I mean. Equilibrium, Dark Muse, and Mist Wizard do get upgrades, though, so using that template as a model, we could maybe make + variants of all the other garbs, improving them in ways, not even necessarily just upgrading their abilities, but also passives, and that sort of thing. We've discussed the ideas iike this, but it does have to be figured out exactly how the game uses and sorts out all this to see what we are capable of, really.

Also as a side note, I personally want to give Mist Wizard+ the Thunderstorma ability like its description says that it's supposed to have, as opposed to the comparatively lame Element that it does have. But we also need to figure out if Thunderstorma (also Frostburna) even exists and/or is possible to create as an ability, because that's the issue, and why it doesn't, because there aren't abilities for those two nor is there a Thunderstorm or Frostburn that exists in the first place. Those two abilities are used by Caius, and only in their ascended form.

Honestly, what would be even better, would be if we could restore the Outerworld Services snapshot mode, because you can freeze the space, move the camera around, zoom, toggle Lightning, and everything. The biggest problem that this camera always had was that the image you ended up getting to post to social media was so LoRes that it hurt, but I imagine that it's possible that that could be fixed, maybe possibly. I dunno if you ever used it or not, but here's the UI for it in case you're unaware:

Removing the UI might be simpler, it might even be a setting if GeDoSaTo is updated to handle LR, if it hasn't been already? (I haven't been following it lately.) But if I know Krisan, the idea of restoring the snapshot mode would be much more enticing, he always likes to take the hard mode option if/when/because it will lead to something a lot more fancy.

Not to be mean, but... isn't that kind of the point? Perfect guards should be difficult to warrant the power level. Same for perfectly timed attacks to maximize effectiveness. Whirlwind Kick goes from almost useless to most amazing attack ever if you get the timing down, but it's not easy, it's a skill, and the game at least on some level rewards skill over just mashing buttons.

I think it would go without saying that Meonekton wouldn't change if this were to exist. 65535 is already impossible, and, if I was guessing (haven't actually looked into it), is the max that the counter can go for this anyway.
