It definitely makes it less noticeable, but sadly they are still there if you are actively looking. I made it primarily for myself to make the game tolerable, and it definitely did the trick :D

It's definitely an upgrade eitherway, since the other effects bring out the colors etc.

I don't think it would. The easiest way to test, is to just re-save the BMP and add it to the game. If it looks ok, then it didn't re-arrange anything.

Vibrant Anti-Tile Seam Reshade Preset with optional Border Fix by Saftle added to FFV mod index.

This is based in part on the Reshade Preset provided by Omnipotus on the FF6 preset.

This preset has two options. Both options makes the game a lot more vibrant, and adds a bit of anti-aliasing. There is also a pixel explosion effect enabled that helps make the tileseams, known to plague this game, less noticeable. This is the first time ever where the pixel explosion effect proved useful.

One option also includes a border fix which stretches the screen, removing the nasty bars on the side. Surprisingly the game looks great even when stretched. Of course, this is subjective, which is why I have uploaded two versions of the preset.

• Extract the zip contents into your FF5 main directory (i.e. [..]\Steam\SteamApps\common\FINAL FANTASY V)

• F11 toggles the preset on/off
  
• F10 toggles the border fix on/off (ONLY with "border fix" preset)

The fix works in both fullscreen (using your native desktop resolution), or in windowed mode. However, currently the border fix only works with the following resolutions:

• 1920x1080

I'm actually new to all of this as well, and a complete newbie in general when it comes to spriting. Definitely don't give up. It required hours of fiddling, but I figured it out with a little help from Nyxo and Krisan to understand what the issue was. Which program are you using by the way?
