Ok, I went ahead and added Gregor to Steam, since a US patch is missing for FFIV. The current patch only fixes the EU release. The same goes for FFIV: The After Years. I wanted to see if I can get all 4 patches before adding them to the indexes. Thanks for the heads up!

I had the same problem when editing sprites. Basically the BMP has a specific indexed mode color table (color pallette), with a specific order. Programs like GIMP and Paint. net automatically re-arranged the color table order which resulted in what you see in that screenshot.

Either you have to manually change the color table order, until you get it working as you expect; or use a program such as Photoshop CC which does not re-arrange the color table automatically.

I wasn't sure if I should add it to be honest. SInce it essentially only speeds up the game, rather than fixes the FPS. If you look at the clouds, you can clearly see that everything is sped up. What do you think? Should I still add it?

Omnipotus, known for his amazing Sweetfx (Reshade) work created this awesome FF6 preset. We also collaborated and created a border fix to stretch the screen, removing the nasty bars on the side. Surprisingly it has great results even when stretched. Of course, this is subjective, which is why I have uploaded two versions of the preset.

• Extract the zip contents into your FF6 main directory (i.e. [..]\Steam\SteamApps\common\Final Fantasy 6)
  
• Start the game!
  
• F11 toggles the preset on/off
  
• F10 toggles the border fix on/off (ONLY with "border fix" preset)

The fix works in both fullscreen (using your native desktop resolution), or in windowed mode. However, currently the border fix only works with the following resolutions:

• 1920x1080
  
• 1280x720

If you play in another resolution, please comment below with your requested resolution. I can try and make a fix shortly after. Enjoy!

I took a look at your profile, and it appears you don't have any games. Steam has a "Limited User Account" system for accounts that don't have games yet. You have to spend at least $5 USD from the store to remove the limited status. They added that as way to filter out bots, since botters would have to purchase games to add friend invites.

Also, in the past people could give you any 3rd party Steam redeemable CD-Key to activate the account, but now it actually has to be purchased through the store.
