what is it that makes people so suspicious on steam??
(please forgive my grammar english isnt my native tongue)
So today as part of a holiday i said to myself "i'm going to treat a few people i know and some randoms with similair interests" so after i gifted a few games to some friends i trawled a few of my groups to look for awesome peeps.

i found a few diamonds and broke the ice. met some lovely people who i hope i shall remain friends with a while some really nice folks! BUT....
i also met the wallopers! who gave me all sorts of insults from racial to sexual and even some just nasty!
i never wanted to see what they had for breakfast or know their vital statistics etc etc i'm just an average guy spreading the love to a few fellow gamers and like minded folk

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH SOMEONE RANDOMLY SENDING A PRESENT WITHOUT WANTING ANYTHING IN RETURN BUT JUST BEING HAPPY KNOWING THEY MADE SOMEONE SMILE FOR HALF A SECOND???

Nothing wrong with what you did, it's really nice of you to do what you did.

I'm maybe late with my response but the people with the bad comments are just people who have lost seeing the good in people who do stuff like you. What you did was good and i will do it too, my advice for the bad comments: just ignore them, you are a good person so i'll give u a :balloon: and some :melon:

(Oh? May I ask what your native tongue is? :o)
Hm... Well, paranoia can be a really big problem for people with untreated anxiety. Some people just constantly live in fear. I know I do, I just try not to let that change my behavior.

But then there are also people who are just mean by nature. Something made them that way, time, betrayal, the warped joy of feeling powerful after making someone cry or spurning their love, etc. But contrary to popular belief and controlled fires, fire isn't fought with fire. Fire is fought with water, any true gamer knows that.

And that's why I think it's very important that we continue to spread the love and kindness, even though we may be met with cruelty in return. It's not a very good way to self-preserve, but I think that we can change the world with kindness. (And prayer, but I can't convince anyone of that, so I'll settle for kindness. (: )

P.S. Your grammar is quite wonderful. ^_^ Better than some native speakers' grammar, even. :P

Let me tell you what makes people suspicious. When you were a little kid, your mom, dad, school, everything, were telling you to be careful online and to not trust strangers. Well, their warnings weren't about nothing. Steam, and the internet in general, has all kinds of creeps, sickos, pedos and asses lurking around, hiding not in the shadows, but behind the profile pic of one of those damn generic Jap cartoon girls. Getting innocent, normal minds into a chat room and ruining everything. Be careful who you befriend on Steam.

And my friends and I have a saying:
"If the pic is a girl, it's probably a guy.
If it's an anime girl, it's definitely a creepy guy. If he tells you he's a girl, he's a lying bastard."
