The server never recovered in terms of playerbase after the horrible migration. An entire month went by without any players joining and/or staying on the server. Therefor cancellation has been requested. I did back-up the server in it's current form. If we ever try to reboot the server, it will be in it's current form.

I want to try out a discord server to see if that is something that players want. The request has been made a couple of times, and after thinking for a while, I started configuring a discord server.

As of right now it's very minimalistic, but if grows more popular, we can always decide to further develop the server into something more professional.

The server has been succesfully migrated to the new hosting company. It wasn't easy or fun, but we did it. Sadfully there were a lot of bumps on the road. But we managed to solve everything in the end.

Im also happy to announce that we've got our own subdomain now. This means that you don't actually have to know the IP adress to connect.

Our domain is:
rustysmokers.quick-connect.eu:28015

You can now connect to the server through this domain to join. If you don't know how to, let me explain:

• While at the main menu of rust, press F1
  
• In the textbox, enter: client.connect rustysmokers.quick-connect.eu:28015
  
• Press Enter to connect

Hey Guys,

Right now the server has already been migrated to a new hosting provider. This means 2 things:
- Better performance (more power)
- More player slots

Sad things is, it seems like our server is not showing up in the server list.
I am currently working with the hosting proivder guys to resolve this issue.

For now you can manually connect through the following ways:

• Be at the main menu of rust
  
• Press F1 to open the console
  
• Enter the following line:
  client.connect 193.110.251.187:28109
  
• Press enter

When you've connected to the server, it should show up in your history server list the next time. That way you can favorite it and play regardless of it showing up in the server list.

I don't know if any of you still play Rust. But if you do then I've got some good news for you.

I've recently started hosting a new rust server on the current version. I wanted so see the current options when it comes to running a server and maintaining it. I've always enjoyed the fun of building something that you thought about while playing the game. The ideal set of plugins that create the most enjoyable version of the game.

I've done some editing, testing, and reboots. But finally the server is stable.

I shall use this old page and try to revive it. It might come in handy in terms of communication with you guys.
