How can this problem be solved? Do it like scm with buy requests. Make one trade for every unusual and each quickbuyer lists himself there with his price. Problem with this solution? Doesn't fit into the Outpost scheme. Makes sharking more difficult because of transparency.
And isnt this the reason why all of you are here? The lack of transparency makes it easier to shark items, no prices, no sell history, try that on scm. And this the reason why pretty much every unusual buying trade contains the word quickselling.
The problem is the way how outpost works, this system had its advantages in the past days when people traded for items because they wanted them. Now people only trade to make profit and the system is abused to the max for that purpose. These rules are an attempt to restore order and make it useable for the goal it was designed for.
I could try to argue against your points but it's not what I want this to be about. I want to focus on the difference between listing prices and not listing prices (of which I believe there is none in terms of violating rules).
The rule has been debated by staff and change numerous time since it was implemented. All that we're asking is that if you do have a large amount of trades, that you make it as easy as possible for someone to navigate through it, and find what you're selling, and how much for.
Thank you very much for the response.
I understand how having a simple (although extensive) price list can make it easier for users to navigate the site to sell their items, although I'm not sure that I agree that a rule is necessary for this.
Nonetheless, I understand and I appreciate the explanation.
