Question
Hello. So, I had agreed to trade with a guy and he told me to wait until my gift becomes tradable. When my gift became tradable, I sent him a trade offer and some messages, but he never answered. After a lot of days, although he obviously saw my offer from the day I sent it, he declined it and he deleted me - although he had agreed to trade with me. Is this something that I should not bother about? I have proof that we agreed to trade and he is a PREMIUM user of tf2outpost. I mean, any kid can become a premium user? Aren't there any rules about these behaviors?

There's no rule against changing your mind, though they could've done it more directly

So, it's supposed to be something normal to make me wait for almost a month until my gift becomes tradable and then suddenly he changes his mind? Ok, then I'll open a lot of trade posts and ask people to wait until their gifts become tradable, and then change my mind, without even answering to them. Of course, I won't do it, but it's just an example to show you that this is not something nice or ever normal. Anyway, I warned him that there will be consequences, but he didn't obviously care. Thanks for your answer.

The accused quite frankly is not breaking any rules.

I also would recommend not to issue warnings or threats against other users unless in possession of authority.

Any user can acquire the "premium" status.

The premium rank symbolizes users who have purchased the premium subscription, any non-banned user can acquire the premium status for $4.99 a month.

Never threatened. I warned him that I don't like people that change their mind and that could be listed as a report from me as "annoyance" (well, I can see the report option in Greek and I don't know how it's translated exactly in English). I also have these rules in my profile in order not to be approached by people that easily change their mind. Other than that, I consider "not answering" as something rude. He didn't even bother to tell me why he changed his mind, but he just deleted me after some days. What does this have to do with tf2outpost authority? If he had scammed me (that's just a poor example), would I have to be in authority to warn him? And I just said that acquiring a premium account should have some rules, but of course, that's not my decision. :/ Thanks for your answer.

Sorry if I misunderstood that?

I may have misinterpreted your intentions of warning the accused, but what I was trying to get out of that is, try not to warn users of consequences when they did nothing against the rules.

I believe the annoyance rule only applies to on-site posts, such as if a user was spamming your trades or used insulting remarks against you.

Premium users must abides to the same rules, they support the site and in return are given perks, not privileges.

I meant it's a steam report option, not a tf2 outpost report option. Like, how can I say that - someone that makes you angry and annoyed by his actions. And still, when he agreed to trade with me, he was supposed to agree with my rules too. It's not like I didn't tell them to him or that they weren't clear enough in my profile. Thanks for your answer.

Uhm, if someone asks me to wait one month to finish a deal i call this seriously rude. This is the internet and you are dealing with virtual items, how can you expect someone to wait for even 5 mins only to finish a deal?

Take a reality check, would a local store accept an order from you that you are going to pay one month later without any formal written contract? And you expect that from the internet? Get real and change your business model!

Well, the fact that he was a trader with a premium account made me believe him. But still, these attitudes should be punished and banished. :/

It is really rude, its like offering some F2P a free hat and then cancelling the trade.
