Anyone pay $4.99 yet?
I have til October before my subscription runs out. I noticed that there's still some premium members, but how many of them have it because they donated keys long ago.

I'm going to eventually have to make a decision...do I get it, or do I skip it and go back to normal bumping.
I had autobump now for 1 year+...and 1.5+ years by the time it expires.

I'm a good trader, and could earn enough to pay for it...but curious if it will even be worth it.
If no one gets it...I wonder if outpost will lower the price.

well i was premium (when it was pay once for lifetime premium), but i'm not going to pay $4.99 per month, it sound like a huge rip-off to me and also they tricked me i've paid already for lifetime and now they removed my premium...

tf2outpost was sold to ZAM Network ?

It depends on a lot of things. For me it would be completely worth it because
A) I use a LOT more than 10 trades
B) I would forget to bump it constantly and it would become a hassle.
C) If you do use more trades, more bumps= more money ^^
D) You support a site that you use, which is always awesome.

If you absolutely hate where the TF2 economy is going then perhaps it isn't the best idea, but you can always switch to csgo / steam gifts / dota 2

If you still cannot decide, you can always try it for a month and if it seems like its not worth it just cancel it.

They will have to in my opinion, come october and after everyones free premium runs out there will be big lack of premium users, price not competitive enough compared to others sites, plus no item payment, which will mean that a few things will start happening

- Traders who do not have access to paypal/credit cards will move to other sites where items are taken as payment
- Traders who do not agree with the cost per year will also move to other sites and pay for a less expensive premium service on those.
- The previous 2 reasons will combine and cause less overall trades on outpost and more traffic to the other sites.

You will also get the other traders who despite how the old premium donation was worded will have a negative view towards now having to pay for premium

Maybe they will wait to christmas to see what kind of premium numbers there are but if they want a good steady income of premium subscriptions it has to be more competitive, even more so because no items can be taken, thus cutting off a huge percentage of potential premium users

Why wait for people to start trading elsewhere, I love outpost just as much as anyone and regardless of personal opinion about the cost of premium I do not want to see less traffic on site

I'd settle for $2.99 a month.

I have paid 4.99 6 times and I have to say it's really worth it for me. I think the current system is fine, no need to go higher or lower, but it's all Outpost's choice.

It depends if you're a dedicated trader or casual. It also depends on your current situation (School, work etc.)
My Premium is going to end in October, same time as you and I'm deciding not to pay the $4.99 since I'm 17 and preparing to go to university soon.
All in all, it depends on what you want. $4.99 is not a very high price to pay, if you can benefit from the automated trade bump.

subscribing would be cool, but the previous revoking of the lifetime perk makes it a no-go for me.

I'm sure when they set it up, the lifetime perk was covering everyone's costs. But as their usage went up and the amount of new people donating, it probably didn't balance out. Server and webspace all has a cost associated with it and they most likely only did what they had to do to keep the site running. Also, how many of those that took the 'lifetime' plan, only gave $5 1 time and that was it? Those that claim they wont pay, probably never would have helped out a 2nd time to begin with.

That is true but it was very unneccessary to remove the key donations. People, like me are unable to pay via credit card because we don't have one. This really limits the target audience.
