How do you see the reason you were banned for something?
I was recently banned for attempted shark via trade offer, except I don't know what I did. My ticket just says "attempted shark via trade offer" and I don't know who or what happened. Is there a place to find out?

I have an idea what I did, I'm just not sure if it is that or not as I am going through my past sent offers trying to see which would be "sharking", however I do have a good idea what I did wrong.

?

@Dorimi - sharking means undervalueing the other person's item and getting it for way cheaper than normal prices while keeping the other person in the dark

Sharking is telling someone that their item is worth less than the 'real' price to gain a financial benefit for yourself.

Other than creating a ticket, there is no other way. I highly recommend you to create an appeal ticket and ask for evidence.

So exactly what 90% of TF2 traders do

No. The basic definition of sharking is when you buy something for 10% of its price (according to outpost rules), but basically it is taking advantage of someone that knows little and has items of value. The most common example is people who add a new player that recently unboxed an unusual and has only a few hours on tf2 (using a program usually). They can offer them a 'shiny new laser weapon' for that unusual and convince them it is a good deal. They then resell it for 10 buds ( or something).

That is not the same as trades buying a strange worth a ref for a rec as they are not convincing the buyer of anything and if it is too low enough, someone will probably offer a scrap more or something.
