How the heck people get Steam games and sell them that low..
I saw some people selling lots of games for cheap. But hey, how did they get them? I checked their trading past and didn't see that they're buying them from other people to make a profit. lolwut

You have to be careful what games you buy if they are newly released, as example would be DayZ for under 14 keys, those are potential revoked games, DayZ is not cheaper in other regions and for any trader to make a profit selling copies they would have to sell at 14 keys (for that game specifically) why don't you link us the seller

"NeonSide_ <B DayZ 9 keys"

Going by your username on steam your just asking for trouble buying dayz at 9 keys, take my advice and steer clear of any cheaper than normal copies

I think you didn't understand, look at how many games they sell but haven't bought any before for keys or metal, cash... >.< If they would have bought from sellers, how would they make profit then?

From the Steam store. They're either buying them themselves or from others during sales and reselling later.

So, if there's a thingy like Steam Summer sales or Winter Sales, they're buying them then reselling? D:

First Trader is legit (those specific games can be bought cheaper in other regions)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/467967,1
Second Trader looks legit enough also, either trading for the games in bulk when on sale or buying on demand from other traders who get the games cheaper in other regions

http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/108720
Third Trader looks legit, all low cost games that have been on sale multiple times

http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/404514
Looks legit also

People dont have to have had posts for buying games, they could just add people directly or know people who will get them the games during sales or buy them themselves

I will say that all the users you linked have something in common, they all are newish users to outpost and they all do not appear to have games in their backpack, either gifts set to private or they are alts for other traders/accounts

Okay, thanks for the answer :virility: Anyways, if the game on steam sale, how much should it be to sell it for higher later? 50% off ? 75% ? I might do that as well >:D Seems profitable.

Oh wait.. You're doing thas well :3

Depends on other factors, its getting less profitable

If your going to buy games just avoid people like this http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/570212

Look at steam profile, and his game prices, all revoked games and using an obvious alt/throwaway account, its just a headache best avoided, if you want dayz buy it from someone reputable at regular pricing

I'm not going to buy games, but I'm might resell that way too.. Just need your advice, if there's a steam sale, how much it should be off? 75%? 50% ? and what kind of games should I buy to resell them quickly for later?

I can tell you that as was said above, it's becoming less profitable than it used to be. Last year at this time, CS:GO was going for 5-6 keys when not on sale. I bought 3 of them when they were on sale this past Christmas for $3.74 each. I've been trying to sell them for 4 keys and not having any luck. I can't even get 2 keys for Payday: The Heist and that's a $20 game still. I think there are just a ton of copies out there so the market has gotten flooded with people trying the same thing.

Okay, I will stick with keys/hats and buying/selling games for keys then :D

I only look for stuff that's at least 75% off and nowdays more like 80 or 90% if I'm thinking about trying to make profit off of them.

That's mostly because (a) all the traders are buying/selling the same games, because everyone else picks those games; and (b) many games drop in price over the years following their release. CS:GO is a fine example, for a couple reasons: $3.75 USD is the lowest it has ever been on sale for; while popular, it is becoming old, which often leads to games dropping in price; and more and more people have it already, with more and more traders stocking up on that same game. I think there is still profit to be made from it, but as everyone trades the same game that profit declines a bit.

This winter, I tried something new that seemed to work well enough. I diversified my assets, and bought one or a couple of many different games I thought would resell. A few ended up not selling so well, and I think one of them ended up in a Humble Bundle for a few weeks, which ended up as bad losses, but overall I made profit from other games and didn't put all my eggs in one basket so to speak. I think I'm already at a little more than I started with, not counting the games still in my inventory, and I actually ended up increasing prices of the last copies of some games (like Skyrim) so I could keep in stock. Obviously I can't tell you which ones sold well and which ones ended horribly because if everyone sells the same thing it won't sell, but the best I can suggest is to look at what's popular, try to meet demand, and above all don't invest heavily in the same 1 or 2 games.
