Strange (and random) redirect to malicious websites?
Sometimes, when using outposts, i'll randomly get redirected to a page. I don't click an ad, most of the time i'm not even CLICKING, and i'm sure it only happens when i'm on tf2outpost. Does anyone else have this problem? If I get redirected again, i'll put some links. DON'T CLICK THEM IF I PUT ANY, MY ANTIVIRUS BLOCKS THEM FOR A REASON!

Edit: I found the source, it was do to a malicious virus that may or may not have come from an on-site ad, but if anyone else has the same virus/malware, post a comment here and I can try my best to help you fix it, tokk me about an hour

Edit 2: I was wrong, it is not a virus, and it has nothing to do with my computer. It may have CAUSED a virus to be installed, but the origin was an ad on the page. The fix? Get AdBlock. Not getting it anymore, the only reason I didn't have AdBlock before is because I like to supprt the websites I used.

I didn't blame the staff, and still don't. One of the ads is malicious, and I'm attempting to find another person having a similar experience

You aren't the only one having these redirects, and he wasn't claiming that you are blaming the staff. The post linked shows you how to help the staff out by reporting these ads.

Sadly, I cannot tell which as it is, because it usually redirects me when I refresh the page, with no time to actually see the ad
The link I provided above will show you how you can get this handled so that it won't continue to be a nuissance to you.

Just had this happen to me. It redirected me to a random site that attempted to download and install some program 27 times within about 2 minutes of having that page load.

I know this isn't any fault of the staff, but seeing how ZAM now owns OP, and seeing how they are a pretty big company, shouldn't they fix this? I mean, I know if it were my company and OP was a branch of my company I wouldn't want to lose customers all because of some stupid ad(s) sending malicious software to its viewers.

OP makes enough money from their subs and ads. FFS you guys can figure this out. Stop being lazy and money hungry and get some people on this!

From the link that was posted by HappyStix:

"First of all, a clarification must be made: the staff does not have any direct control over the advertisements that are displayed on the site. We also do not see any advertisements ourselves due to the administrative ranks we have. All the advertisements are managed by a separate and dedicated Ad Team, to which we send a report every time a bad advertisement is caught - to have it removed from rotation."

If you want these ads taken out of rotation you need to help them out by giving them the information they request from users experiencing these redirects.

This would be easy if I was actually able to see the ad before redirect, but it usually just takes you to the site before you can see the outpost page. Sorry outpost, but I'm using AdBlock until it's resolved.
