We aren't in the position to tell people what they list as their prices in their trades. Beyond blatant trolling and overly unrealistic trades, we do not want to dictate how trading is done.

Also as mentioned already, we have rules that spell out what we consider sharking, which involves some form of manipulation or other unethical actions.

If a market is regulated, people complain, when it's free, people still criticize it. Any policy / system that is implemented will have unintended consequences.

Sharking / Low balling are already defined by TF2 Outpost, however, it's mainly an ethical / moral issue; when it comes to exploitation - it's hard to eliminate it completely; traders will always find loop holes in the system. The smarter traders find ways to make their practices seem legal and moral, and work within the framework of the system.

Considering the Strange Grenade Launcher has just been rereleased, it's obvious its price is plummeting. Don't just look at backpack.tf and expect everything to be sold/bought at that price.

Well there is trade.tf and checking ur backpack viewer on bp.tf before you start selling ur stuff and 1 ref is pretty bad.

Its a free market. People are free to offer, and you are free to say no. Backpack tf is not always right, and its always behind the market, its just a fact of how it works, it follows trends, and only a subset of visible trades based on the free "work' of suspect individuals who spend their time gathering "evidence" for free. Btw people with "grenade launchers" aren't new generally, while its been rereleased its price has also been tumbling by hundreds of %, so was tf right when it was 5 keys? is it wrong now at 1 key? Thats a 500% drop in no time at all, thats just how the market works. Grenade launcher desirability is low at this point, people know the price is tumbling, thus people are free to take such offers or leave them. Not everyone is going to spend an hour to save a dollar you know. It might be worth it for some kid, many tf2 players are older, and their time is worth more than that.
