Hey outpost,

Yeah, I know you gotta actually make some more money to keep the site going here, but $4.99/mo is too much. Your site is effectively a feature rich database, and $4.99/mo is too much for such a service. I know this doesn't effect me just yet as a donor, but I'd be far more okay with $1.99/mo or $2.99/mo.

Agree. Backpack.tf offers you SO many features for cheaper. Why should I use outpost at over double the monthly rate?

It claims many sites, money hungry... I run about 10 sites, I guarantee the amount he makes off advertising is plenty to pay for the site. I use the same advertisting service. My sites are not as popular and I could easily afford some amazing dedicated boxes if I wanted to.

I guarantee that you do not know the price to run this site and more than likely have no clue what it takes to maintain a site that regularly sees users in the 6 digit range.

The premium features are not mandatory and are not even close to required if you want to use the site, which is otherwise free. If you don't find the value of paying for it, then you're more than free to continue using the site without those benefits.

Also, Backpack.tf is not close to a viable alternative to Outpost for trading, as the two sites have different goals in mind. The premium feature is new and has rustles some feathers, but just complaining and not giving constructive feedback helps nobody.

I run 10 sites, with roughly a little over 100k montly users combined and make on average $330-500 a month. Ourpost has a shit ton more trafic and are making a ton more.

Pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. I work in the IT field. Not saying I know everything, but I manage servers, run sites, and run game servers. They can easily cover their costs.

I like the new site and the new stuff you guys have added but $60 per year for premium sounds a bit steep for a site with so many registered users. $20-$30 per year would seem a bit better or even $5 per month then offer a discount for 6 months or 12 months, such as $5 per moth or $20 for 6 moths or $30 for 12 moths, something like this

You forget to mention the majority use ad-blockers.
