No, most likely you saw it in game, only numbers below 100 appear in that case, that's why craft numbers like 1337 and 999 are essentially worthless, no one can see them.

Well that's the thing, I saw it was tagged with "crafted by" so I checked my outpost backpack (I have said black box in my backpack) to see if the craft # was worth anything and there wasn't a craft number. So I don't know if this is a backpack error that just isn't displaying it or if it just doesn't have one associated with it.

I'm not sure then, I severely doubt it's anything irregular, millions of weapons have been crafted, if this was a glitch, I'd think more than one would exist. I may be, of course, wrong though.

Black boxes do not have craft numbers. If youre curious about an items craft number-ability you can always check the wiki. :)
