What are all the blank lines about? Why the need to list everything that is already visible in your wanted list (in such a space wasting way)? Who cares about your YouTube favorites?
In my experience, it most often is not the users that can't read, it's the trade owners that can't express in a simple way with a few words what they actually want.
If you want people to actually read your notes, keep it short. Explain what your trade is about in 2-3 short and clear, easy to understand sentences so that people who visit your trade can easily tell if they want/don't want to make business with you by a simple look at your notes. If a more detailed explanation is needed (why is your item special etc) provide it at the bottom of your notes, so that those who are interested can read it.
Use colors, bold, italic text to mark important bits. Don't overuse them! There's nothing more annoying than to look at a Christmas tree, or an elephant sized text. Though I welcome the idea of having 3 basic sizes, normal, small, big (which is slightly larger than normal).
I agree norby89 & there always will be people with offers (with or without reading the notes) that doesn't suit the trade. Sellers do get sometimes "angry" & they reply with flaming which will always ends in ridicolous conversations. In my case, I keep it polite & short or I simply hide the trade.
now dont tell me THAT isnt an issue...
When someone does that to me I just add 25% to my asking price, if my notes say 1.00 then I tell them it is 1.22, or 1 key+.88 instead of a key. I consider it a fee for having to answer questions they should have known the answers to.
Sometimes I just tell them to make an offer and then click ready to trade and leave the trade window open followed by removing and blocking them once the trade fails or they cancel it.
You could also just remove them and move on with our life, why bother dealing with stupid people.
Maybe it's the way you present your trade that attracts those people?!
thx for the idea xD i'll start doing that
i will only ask once as i save the info on a note.
