Use flashblock to only block those most annoying ads.
Also has the benefit of making your browsing more secure.

Besides that, if OP keeps reloading ads in the background while nobody is watching / using the site anyway, I wouldn't feel too bad about the "lost" ad revenue.
From the other perspective: why should I pay for my ad when nobody is watching?

What do you mean? Hide from the homepage that you can view without being logged in?
What makes you think those scammers do not have an account they log in with to search that is different from the one they add you with...

you have to enter your steam login details at the steamcommunity website, where you automatically get redirected to from outpost.
i.e. the same username / password combination you use to log into the steam client.

I have to disagree if I take you literally. There never is a complete solution, especially when it comes to security. But in this specific case, I too see no point in the OPs suggestion.

You probably get the most benefit from educating people. I have not seen any TF2 phishing / hacking attempt so far that can't be detected as such with following a few simple rules.

I really don't see any need to have more than 1-3 compact lines of notes when selling a single item.

I too don't bother reading everything to get the relevant information. But I simply ignore trades (that are worse than yours) and move to the next seller when searching for simple items that have a book to read in their notes.
Not saying your notes fall into that category, but wouldn't 2 simple lines suffice to sell a single hat?

And no matter how hard you try, there will always be the ones that ignore your wishes. Simply hide their post. And if they add you without reading your notes, I made my best deals of those :)

If you can't deal with people trying to negotiate prices, regardless of what you write in your notes, on an open trading platform, maybe you should look somewhere else to sell for fixed prices.
There are automated trading sites that you can use that even sell your item for you with a bot for a fixed price.

I really don't understand why ppl get so butthurt with the occasional offer that is not exactly what they want. Just hide his offer, you don't even need to reply. It's a simple click.

btw, bloating your notes with blank lines in between every line only makes it more likely ppl ignore your notes.
