Scam reports belong in the scam reports section. You also need to follow the required format shown in the sticky at the top of the section.

Where? >> I'm just posting on the group since I know he's in this group and a lot of ppl are actually checking discussions..

Here's the reports section: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/groups/tf2outpost/discussions/3/

You can also access it by clicking the large toolbar on the right hand side of the home page. You need actual screenshots though, simple transcripts can't be accepted.

oh, I saw where. But he doesn't have a tf2OP profile. He's just using the group, he adds people and tells them the exact same thing. My friend got added too.

He doesn't need to be on OP. If the report is accepted, he will be marked as a scammer on SR.

Seems useless.. He's a f2p. If he's marked, he just gonna create another profile and do the same.. I don't wanna mark him as scammer, I want people to know it's a scam through here. :/

Well, you aren't supposed to just post statements against another player without actual proof. Transcripts, of course, don't count.

I know. I wish I did a screenie but I closed the chat. >>
Isn't teamviewer a program that can cause two people to look at the same screen and do actions such as delete files?

I believe team view is used by IT/computer techs to share screens and complete actions on a clients computer. It has been used to take over an unsuspecting person's computer and install malicious files and in the world of TF2, scam people by the scammer trading himself while in control of the victims computer. Its never wise to relinquish access to your computer unless you are absolutely sure that it is an official source.

From personal use teamviewer is really helpful when use properly and like Nobel said IT pros use it to fix your issues that you don't know what the heck is going on. My dad sure does appreciate it. I've never really used that before, I'm not the guy who helps my dad, I usually am but we are both pretty busy and he is in other countries a lot on buisness. But I remember him telling me that his usual friend wasn't on so he was searching for someone to help him. I tired but have no idea what it was even about. Anyways he noticed multiple tell signs of phishing so he immediatly cancled. Later he found out the same guy did that before and put malware on computers.

Off topic note to Nobel. I'm starting to see a pattern here, Champelliot comes in does the by the book admin buis and then sometimes goes in depth on the topic. Where you and I go in depth and give personal opinnions. And this one directed at me personal bias. But who can help themselves with their opinnions.

oh, i see it's been a while, but that one untranslated sentence is in Lithuanian. i got a guy yesterday, who wanted to buy keys from me via bank, he's also a lithuanian, and he told me to download TeamViewer. so instead of googling "TeamViewer", i googled "teamviewer tf2 scam" and this is one of the results. thanks for warning even though i'm late to the party.
