The backpack servers often run on a cache, instead of raw data, so it may take a short while for it to update.

His problem is, although his backpack is public, that he cannot access it on OP because OP still thinks it's private. And if that is the case, he cannot open new trades.

But it's been more than enough time now, so I think there might actually be a problem.
(checked at least 30min ago and now again, can access his inventory, but not his BP on OP)

If the site says your profile/backpack is private then you can be 99.99% sure it is. Updating is usually instant, you rarely have to wait for more than a second or two.

To the OP: setting your inventory to public is not enough, your profile has to be public too just like the error message on TF2OP suggests.

His profile and BP are both public though. I've seen it take several days to update.
