I clicked on a phishing link and logged on it
Hey there,

I've just been victimed of phishing. As the title said I've unfortunatly logged on it...
I immediatly changed my password and my email adress, sent a ticket to the support in order to check if the hacker tried to connect on my account.

Nothing on my backpack has been stolen yet. I didn't received any mail stating that either my email adress or password has been changed( except of course when I changed them both by myself)

I'm really worried about this, is there anything else I must do ?

no just change the password to the email if its the same as your steam account heck just change email password anyway :)

also deauthorize all pcs with the steam guard in the client itself

Yeah I've immediatly deauthorize all pcs, I also changed my email password.
I really hope that the hacker didn't have to connect to my account...
Right now I can't think about anything else. T_T

you are pretty much safe as long as you dont type your steam guard code in...

Well I didn't received any steam guard code, that's what made me raise suspicions. I looked up on the url and...

If you want to keep everything safe, do all of these
1. change contact email
2 .change password
3. remove any credit card details on the account
4 turn off steam guard so items can not be traded
5. send a support ticket
6 leave your most valuble items with a trustable friend or alt account. (optional)

Do these and you should stay safe for the time being

I'd rather not turn off steam guard.
Anyway I passed an antivirus scan, malware scan, used spybot. And I found a trojan.
Better swap again my passwords...

Same thing happened to me yesterday I lost 2 unusuals worth over $200 :(, lucky i got my account back and thats all they took

Look out for a green energy master's yellow belt gifted from Source(painted after eight) & a smoking master's yellow belt(painted a distinctive lack of hue) both mine :(

If you feel like your account is being hacked, first off request a ban on the site if you're curteous. You should then immediately do the following: Change your password, check your e-mail to see if there's been a suspicious password change, contact steam support and have them check to see if anyone has logged into your account. But I'm glad to hear you've been able to withdraw both your account and items.


Well it's been about 18 hours andI didn't received any mail for either a password or email changed. I hope that means that I'm safe.
