Big traders.
How is it that some of theses people get soo many items and so much of it that they are able to sell it for the prices they do?

Is it phishing scams? Stolen items? or are they buying from idiots? I feel like I cant compete with these huge traders.

If I post im selling a craft hat that is worth 2 ref it will take a day or so for somebody to get back to me. but some of these big traders say they are selling that same hat for 2.11 ref and they will get tons of hits within that day...

It doesn't work like that. Most "big traders" have donated to the site which lets them autobump their trades meaning they have a little advantage over you in how many people view their trades.

And no you don't have to scam or rip off anyone to get good items. You just have to be smart, invest in items that will rise in value, profit over the hype of new items, trade between different markets (TF2, Dota 2, CS:GO) etc.

Also most big traders take trading more seriously and will respond to a friend request immediatley after getting them. I'm often willing to pay a premium for speed.

But yeah, buy low sell high. I made $300 into $8,000 in a few months. If you put time into it, there's a lot of money to be made.

Buying under market values, looking for quicksells, selling for market values. The more dosh You have, the more You can invest.

I thank you for all your replies. I guess what I meant is that I dont really see anybody selling things cheap at all. I spend hours browsing the outpost and i might see maybe 1 or 2 people selling things cheap. It takes a whole lot of searching to find things being sold cheap enough to sell for profit.

I guess it might be just me. Im not sure.

Even if there are traders selling things for cheap, they will be picked up by others in an instant. Hoping that you'll be one of those lucky people won't really get you far. It's more practical to set up a trade where you're buying those items and let others come to you.

You'll likely never find good deals if you look for them. Set up a trade offering to buy things at what you think is a good, fair deal. Bump it often and let them come to you. Whan I started out, I was buying buds at $30 and selling them for $35. Nobody lists their buds selling at $30, but if someone wants to quickly sell them, they'll add you.

Trade.tf You find a ton of good deals. Using the live deals i have made 5 keys in 3 hours on low value items
i had not used outpost in a while and then started trading again, but it's diffrent now. i used to get trades now i can barely get 10 views on trades and so many lowballs offering something worth under 1 dollar for a 20.00 game... I gave up and trade with friendslist and just hold onto it.
rather give it to a friend than accept worthless items.
