Disappointment of Ads
A few months ago
Okay Outpost, you win. The ads are harmless enough and the donation is down, so I'll support you through that. I use you all the time and I have no other way of giving back.
Over the past month
Well, these ads are starting to get more and more obnoxious; video ads, ads that take up a ton of space on the page, ads that try to trick you into thinking it's just a window, etc.. I guess I'm okay with those, I'll just close Outpost whenever I'm in a game
Over the past week
Really? I have ads coming from Outpost that are popping out from the page, ads that make really loud noises in very short notice to get your attention, and more. A few hours ago, there was one (and it's happened once before) that made about literally a hundred popups. I kept clicking the X button and it didn't go away; so I moved it, only to find there was one of the same one behind it, and another, and another, and another...

You have encouraged me to re-enable my adblocker for Outpost and now the donation isn't permenant, so I'm not really interested in that either. I'm sorry guys, but come on, clean up your act. Any discussion in the comments is promoted, and if you guys could change it back and tell me, or just give me an explanation why you allow these ads, it would be much appreciated.

We have no direct control over the ads, all we can do is report the bad ones to the people who do. If you encounter any bad ad just gather some evidence (screeshots, name, company, etc) and we will pass it along.

I came on here with the intention of creating a thread dedicated to the same thing. And as I am trying to type this an ad came up in a new page that is completely in spanish. I do not speak spanish. And the new page ad is so persistant it will literally pop up like 3 in a minute. No lie.

Yeah, I keep getting Spanish popups too; however, instead of being persistent, it just pops TONS up. Was yours like, a road with a pasture to right and a forest to the left? Because that's what I got.

Yes it is that exact one. I literally just got 5 within 10 seconds. the second i exited out another came up. Its annoying.

Are you using Chrome? (don't start a browser war, just asking). Because I'll get those annoying voice ads, but I never get popups. Try install a popup blocker through Chrome. I do everything I can to not use AdBlock. Hope you guys can get this resolved.

No the pop ups only occur when i am in game using the steam overlay.

Exactly; I use AdBlock+ for FireFox, and they come up on steam overlay.

Oh I see. I don't use the steam overlay as it doesn't interact properly with a lot of webpages, especially Outpost(can't Share the Love, Add, or Ignore).
Just do what BSOD said and post screenshots of the offending adds.

i cant take screenshots lol. if i try with f12 it doesnt get the overlay system in the shot.

Okay seriously get rid of the video ads. or take of the sound. make it so that the sound is off by default. I just had a video ad with this EXTREMELY loud music with tons of bass that nearly destroyed my headphones and caused me a heartattack.
