[Fixed?] Nameless steam gifts

Greetings,

There are some issues with the "steam inventory" at searching/creating new trades, certain steam gifts don't load at all when you try to search for them, or "missing" in creating new trades.

Try to search (with the filter ofcourse) for "Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag™" (or just "black flag") or "Star Wars Battlefront® II" ("battlefront"), it loads forever and nothing happens.

When I try to create a trade with these gifts, I can't see any of them in my inventory (with the filter! <- this is important), like when I don't have any of those games. (and I clearly have 5 copies of battlefront2 in my bp.)
On the other hand if you don't use the filter and just scrolling down in your steam bp, you can actually find these gifts but they don't have a name.

So we can create new trades with these gifts if we want to. Meanwhile no one will find these trades since the search function works only with the filter, which can't find these "nameless" gifts.

Also, there are mostlikely more steam gifts which aren't "working properly", but I know only about these 2 right now.

EDIT: Seems like I succesfully opened this thread in the wrong forum section.. :P ("Bugs & Problems" seems dead btw.)

EDIT2: Searching for "Don't Starve" is bugged too meanwhile it actually has a name. Also found it when tried to create a new trade. (using the filter)

Search is a piece of crap right now :(

"Don't" and "starve" loads forever but "don't starve" brings hits.
"resi" doesn't give anything, but "resident" gives
"civilization" loads forever too...

copy paste Assassin’s Creed® III works in the search, deleting "® III ", loads some of the other ac games too (ac4 black flag, ac brotherhood, for some reason ac2, ac1, and ac: revelations not), writing Assassin's Creed manually doesn't work (in the exact same form as before), loading forever. I'm confused..

Yep. Only when I type Half-Life it works ;).

Ok, so seems like games which have "®" in their names are bugged, all of these are "nameless" steam gifts in my bp:

Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag™
Star Wars Battlefront® II
Crysis Warhead®
LEGO® Batman 2 DC Super Heroes™
LEGO® Marvel™ Super Heroes
LEGO® The Hobbit™
The LEGO® Movie - Videogame

I guess the "loading forever" search issue is an entirely different bug.

I have to confirm what ocolus says. Age of empires iii has the same issue and contains the R symbol.

Please fix the bug ASAP; we lose a lot of sales because of this!

TrackMania² Stadium is also nameless, so "²" doesn't work either.

As you posted in your thread: search for "call of duty" doesn't work, but if you type "Call of Duty®: Ghosts" or "Call of Duty®: Black Ops II" it actually finds them. (and it shows their name normally)

In an another thread someone said the elder scrolls games.
For "elder scrolls" it didn't find anything, however for all these:
"The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® Game of the Year Edition"
"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition"
worked pretty well.

So searching with "®" symbol (now?) works, it found even "Star Wars Battlefront® II". (which one a few days ago didn't)
But still, if you type only "battlefront" , "elder scrolls" or "call of duty" it is just loading and nothing happens.

On the other hand if you try to create a new trade with one of these games above, none of them have any name due the "®" letter. (So are these actually 2 entirely different bug?)

^ This is one of my trades with these "nameless" gifts, 4 of these 6 LEGO games are nameless.

Also, when I try to make a new trade games with the letters " ™ " and " ‘ " shows as:
Virtua Tennis 4? (original: Virtua Tennis 4™ )
BioShock? (original: BioShock™ )
Neverwinter Nights? 2 Platinum (original: Neverwinter Nights™ 2 Platinum )
Telltale Texas Hold ?Em (original: Telltale Texas Hold ‘Em )

EDIT:
Searching for example "LEGO® The Hobbit™" doesn't even find my nameless lego hobbit trade..

Weird I try it with that ® and now it works.Still I think its a bug lots of people didnt know that,Ithink and needs to fix it.Anyway thanks for the info but its not good for the functionality for tf2 outpost!

The ? for the TM is due to that being unicode and the way it parses across APIs. However, I will pass this along because we are working on getting the search fixed to find games better. Thanks for all the hard work and detail- it is very appreciated and will help us improve better. :)"

It's been 8 days since Sneeza added this stuff to your dev panel, and 5 days since your last comment here.

I don't want to be unpolite, but I don't know how to underline the importance of this thing for us, your paying premium customers.
Please, if possible speed things up.

p.s: It isn't good for either of us if the users not being able to find these games go to competing sites what I (as a solely TF2OP using guy) am also thinking about to do.
