Well, consider this: instead of listing prices on every item amazon would say "you can buy it for 2 cent less than the best deal you can find, unless we decide that deal doesn't count". And now imagine every other internet shop would do the same. What kind of customer experience would that be?

Luckily amazon doesnt do that, and the others also dont do that, and because of that there are these nice websites where u can enter a search team and u get a bunch of results all with a nice price tag assigned and you can choose what to pick.

So yes, there is a difference if all these trades list a price or not. But logic doesn't count on the internet, only rules do, iirc my first answer is still valid, but feel free to wait for confirmation of a more colourful name than mine .

Use common sense, how is the quickbuy spam reduced if you just add the names of the items from the whishlist to the notes? Not at all, your new trade still says the same: "i want all your stuff for basically free, i just add basically nothing compared to others unless they already pay too much which i decide on my own".

One trade like this adds already enough spam, more trades like this dont add any extra value to the seller.

And the traders who didnt fade away moved to other platforms that offer more features and/or faster and more convenient trades with much less quicksell annoyances.

In general on Steam Market parts dont add any value at all, maybe some very popular and expensive ones, but for sure not so much than your referenced websites state.

Imho this +50% for part/paint/whatever is a relic from the past of the great days of spreadsheet and co., community market and trading itself has changed a lot. You can see this in all these quicksell trades that state parts/paint/whatever do not add any value, finally people got smart enough to realize that and no one is willing to pay extra for that.

On the other hand a lot of people still try to charge extra when selling, but no one is willing to pay extra, like your personal experience shows as well. Your best bet to sell is on servers full of stupid kids who dont know the market, otherwise you need A LOT of time and luck.

This will show all trades of people who are LOOKING FOR quicksells, i think what he is searching for is people who OFFER quicksells. I doubt there is a way to find these because they are simply almost non-existent: everyone wants stuff for free, no one gives stuff away for free :-).

I don't know the codebase but i assume its not so easy to make a switch to flip between both layouts. Live with it, after each layout change there was a big whining but the old layout never came back.

Why was it changed? Because this is the internet, you just have to change your design on a regular basis or your website looks dead :-). Personally i would prefer they would add some long standing requested features (killstreaks anyone?), but others have delivered, and this is reflected by my activity here.

While everything that was said above is right, if you are just after ordinary unique weapons, outpost is not the place for you to be. This here is the place for profit and all these other expensive items you are not after.

You can get your weapons here as well, but you will need to pay twice the price than on that nice bot automated website where you can swap one weapon for a weapon. Not sure how delete happy the mods are here so i better dont give the link for it, but its called like the lowest level of metal you can craft :).

I disagree about these other websites selling games for low, their sources are often shady and if your games got revoked you have to deal with them to get your money back.

The outpost way is more safe if you follow some simple rules: always make the trade fully through the trading window, do not just send the keys and let the other side gift you the game. And compare the prices, use something like steamprices.com to check if it is possible to make profit by selling at that price if the game was bought in your favorite low price region, and if its not or way lower than everyone else selling at, stay away.

And if your game still got revoked, valve usually reverses the trade without a hassle.

And this 7 day lockout only happens after you accepted a trade and it went into escrow and you cancel it while its in there, it doesnt happen if you just cancel the trade.
