If you would buy the cards for a proper price you would be for sure very succesful, but if you just join the lowballing train like everyone else you need to share the traffic with them.

And making tons of these trades yourself only makes the whole situation even more annoying for everyone else, hence the relist rule to cut down the number of these trades.

Your items are not tradable because you are f2p, you need to upgrade your tf2 to premium by buying something from the mannco store (or use an upgrade to premium gift, but its just cheaper to buy something from mannco).

Today my 3 month old trade http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26797551 got closed with the reason that the items arent available from me anymore. I don't understand that, i am buying a specific strange part for 5.6 ref and at the time i bumped my trade, at the time the mod closed my trade and right now as im writing these lines i still have 6.4 ref in my backpack.

Of course, in contrast to many, many trades on outpost, i have listed the exact price on the left side, 5 ref and 2 rec. Unfortunately, because valve gives us so damn small backpacks, i can store only a limited amount of metal and therefor i usually have only refs, right now 6 refined and 4 scraps. So technically the reason to close my trade is correct, but as far as i know metal is still a form of currency and the history of my recent trades show that the users are very well aware of that fact and offered me items together with the correct amount of change.

I always have enough metal to buy each item of my trades at least once, however i sometimes check my trades mobile and accept them instantly but cant restock my metal so there might be times i dont have enough metal for a certain trade. As soon as i can i restock the metal, during that delay of course i dont freshly bump my trades, so usually my trades only get bumped one or two times a week.

This is normally not a problem because these arent high volume trades at all, and i am still a human and not a bot. However this doesnt apply to the current situation because i had and still have enough metal to buy that certain item, so isnt it a little bit of nit picking to close my trade because i dont have that listed 2 recs atm? Am i forced to switch to some of these patterns that clutter up the search results like listing only one ref on the left and write the price in the notes to avoid future closes of my trades?

Thats why Microsoft sold MS-DOS (or was it a Windows, cant remember) for $1 each in China, better get one dollar instead of zero dollar. But did they sell it for the same price in the whole world? No, but that was what was happening on steam, and thats something totally different than a time limited sale.

Im not supporting anything nor want anything changed, i just repeat the reasoning behind the current system.

Steam is not an ecosystem for consumers, it is an ecosystem for producers. The producers should be able to make a living off it. Consider trading between users like an extra feature to make the system more attractive for them (plus even more profit for valve because of fees).

The problem with the previous system was that the consumers abused it to make their own profit to make a living in such a massive amount that it hurt the producers, the main audience and income producing participants in the ecosystem. So to protect the system, because if the game developers jump the ship and move to origin, uplay, whatever there wont be any steam much longer, valve had to take actions.

But smart people already found a new way to abuse steam, just grab the unity engine, randomly assemble some demo assets and early access, here you come. Gives much more profit that shifting around games apparently :-P.

Well, you better stick to the single trade you made, because listing the prices didnt change anything, you are still buying every random robo hat for 1 ref (which is quite pointless by itself because scrap.tf offer 1/3 more than this).

This is what the relist rule also was made for, prevent people listing the whole item schema at some random lowballing price. Stick to your single trade and good luck competing with the bot automated services offering even better prices than you.

The most important point is still missing, the point why there is this 30 day cooldown. This was done by Valve to prevent that what you are doing, by hoarding games during sales or buying in low-price regions to sell in full price regions.

This was done to stop ripping off the game developers profit by people like you. Only two parties shall make profit off the games, the developer and Valve.

Regarding what i see on outpost this was quite successful, most of the game trades offer crap that was on sale countless times or is region locked to countries you probably never heard of before. And all these trades gain next to zero traffic.

So selling games is imho like selling crates, just that the first one includes dealing with scammers. So go figure for yourself if this is worth wasting your time.

If they add new items with the speed of adding the ability to search for specific killstreaks or ticket processing time ... 2 years+? :-D
