One does not simply revalue an item. An item is worth what people pay for it. If people are paying 8 keys for a Bills, then it's 8 keys. You can't revalue this just by suggesting something. It is what it is.

What do you mean by future crates holding value? Only they are salvaged crates, they're pretty much worthless.

Well I said nothing even remotely like that, so no. If anybody wanted a tux badly enough to pay $35 for it, they would have downloaded the free OS and gotten one for free. Nobody wants a butt penguin with no effect badly enough to pay $35, especially when the market will be flooded with them, so they will have nowhere near the value of buds.

New users needing ref to buy things. I hope you know new users are the source of ref. What, are they magically going to start absorbing all the nearby ref through the power of osmosis? New users gain momentum through drops and then through scrap banking. Both of which directly increase the supply of ref. Also, you fail to think of these vintages as individual items. That V. Sandvich has gone up and down. Probably independent of key prices. These key prices don't change over night, it is a gradual process and at the time you won't immediately charge more for your item because people are selling keys for a scrap more than yesterday. Again, you use the term value, suggesting that there is some universal power that assigns an ultimate worth to each item. There is no real 'value' as you consider it. The value is in what people pay for it. What you're suggesting is a change in the way in spreadsheets work, not on what value is. The facts are: 1) Bills are 8 keys, have been for a long time now. 2) Keys are still sell around the $1.40 3) Keys have gone down gradually. The amoutn of evidence presented far outweighs the argument that ref has remained stable. It has not.
