So basically you're saying that people that already have the Tux will like it? And those who don't won't? Not only doesn't that seem like logical reasoning, but it doesn't really create any demand does it? I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say.

As can be seen by the 2012 Christmas item bubble, and the Salvaged Crate #40 bubble. Belief will most likely fail to cause a long term increase in an item, and in some cases may end up crashing them. Besides, nobody believes these ass penguins will achieve bud level, not even the owners, they're crossing their fingers hoping someone will make the mistake.

If you stay in your low tier realm this price increase won't affect you. Nor will it affect you if you stick to trading for mid-high tier items. It will benefit you if you want to buy hats and small stuff, on the other hand you will need more hats/ref to buy keys or more expensive items.

Than there is a problem because people used to use metal to buy even higher valued items. The bills would only have been 19 some ref last Sept. Now it would be 32 for no apparent reason. It does effect mid range items around a few keys that wouldn't have been that many ref before. Personally I won't use my keys for anything that isn't an unusal and I won't do that anymore. Its going to be more worthwhile to take 30 shots at the next crate than have an unusual.

That's ultimately a decision that a lot of people are going to make. People are going to start being a bit more stingy about their keys. They'll be more likely to keep their hats in terms of refined and their unusuals in terms of keys. It's just the way it is.

The rate at which people craft is much lower than the rate at which refined is earned. Face it, refined as an ever growing amount, the TF2 economy is being infinitely infused with refined consistently not just by idlers but by everyone. Keys however have a direct link to RL money, ultimately all keys come from the Mann Co. store, even though most people never buy them from there. The reason certain items remain stable regardless of refined inflation is because unlike the real world, where mass corporations decide the price of their products based on inflation and profit margins. TF2 trading functions at the individual level, and even though price checking sights can help the gradual increase of items such as the V. Sandvich, it cannot overhaul them within a time period, like in real life. The Vintage comparison also fails to consider that these items were linked to the item drop system long ago. Just like refined.

Simple keys don't go up, ref goes down. Why have keys remained stable in terms of RL money, while ref goes down? Because ref is a currency that is inflated because its not capped.

I know I can't be the only one to notice the increase in random phishing links being posted. Is there a reason for this increased trend, and is there a way to IP ban the user(s) involved in it?

In my experience, donating is a HUGE boost to your trading. You aren't always there to autobump your trades and this helps alot. I get several offers every night because of it.

Before the update, when the trade owner hid a post they were still able to be viewed. However, now all posts hidden by trade owners are not viewable. I doubt this was done unintentionally. So I'm asking, why was this implemented? It seems annoying to me that you can't hide an offer for space if you want others to see it.
