I always look up the user's profile on OP, random add or not.

Not for every trade. But for high value items, yes.
I would guess that less than a bud's worth trade is safe to not have to check too closely.

I think this would be very helpful. Because the "Matches" result list is too large and unsorted with a just few different trades up already, I always do new searches instead of matching.

Exactly, that's why I now have to lean forward to my keyboard, type the class name and cannot sit back relaxed and only use my mouse to search. It's a little more inconvenient.
Added to that that the slot does not advance to the next free item slot after adding an item, that makes it more than just a little inconvenient.

e.g. add a Bud and Max to the have list, a Key, a ref and a bill's to the wishlist and see how many clicks and keyboard strokes you need now.

I think he does not mean he got an offer to buy one for 50%. He just meant that in general. And just because "80% of the trades" announce they want to buy for 50% does not mean they are successful in doing so very often.
