Again rarity does not go hand to hand with high value. Look at uncraft Hitman promos, there are less than a couple hundred in existance and they go for what, 4-5 keys? Plus in order for something to become currency having a high number actually helps.

That's because there's no problem with items listed above a key. I could have bought a Bill's hat for $10 five months ago, I can buy a Bill's hat for $10 now. Their value is constant. The people who are saying that key hoarders are raising the price of keys to become richer don't really know what they're talking about. Yes you can buy more low tier hats for a less amount of keys but that's it. If you want to convert those hats into higher tier items you have to give more hats than before so your gain is 0.

The only thing that would change is that you could swap it ~1:1 with keys and it would take up less amount of space in your backpack. I really hope Keys stabilize at 4 Ref because it's a nice and round number.

You mean the style? Style can be changed, if you don't see many of the alternative styles it's probably because players don't bother changing it.

I don't believe there are that many of them but I bet there are more than buds, no doubt. Either way, the number of copies should have absolutely no effect on the item's value at all. Whenever you hear somebody comparing any item with buds, it just tells how clueless they are.

Steam notifies users both when you plan an event and when the event actually happens (5 mins later) and that can get spammy. I think you just shouldn't plan events ahead and it'll be fine, I mean there were events before and this never was a problem.

It might be good once you realize you're not getting any better offers after a while, so you decide to take it. Also some people like to put slightly unrealistic buyouts, to keep the lowballs away and then pick whatever offer they like the best.

Exactly. I never understood why people even valued them higher now that they are retired. I mean, they are literally the most common hats in the game and it's not like they will be harder to get from now on.

You have absolutely no valid reason to back up your claims, other than some numbers that aren't even accurate. Do not be surprised if the number of Tux will become close, if not exceed the number of Buds. Besides, numbers do not mean absolutely anything and I'll show you through an example. BMOCs and Ebenezers.

Back to the hats. We all know about the bubble that happened last year before Christmas, because BMOC and Santa, Santa wears a Santa hat so, BUY NOW THESE HATS WILL GO FOR 2 BUDS AT CHRISTMAS #YOLO. What happened next? They reached a price of ~1 Buds / Bill's each and then the bubble burst. Since trader's realized there's just no demand for them the price began to fall drastically.

Same thing will happen to the Tux. Gullible people (you) will be buying the fact that the Tux is the new Buds and they'll invest in it, thinking that it's easy profit. After a while the storm will calm down and they will begin to realize that nobody wants it and the price will plummet to the ground as everyone rushes to sell it. Smart people will either get rid of it as soon as possible, while the price is still high or join the bandwagon and get off it right before the bubble bursts (impossible to tell when, but no doubt it will happen). The rest just won't care, since it's just a silly Buttux.
