I'm going on a military service in a few hours, and won't be on steam for a year or so. Therefore, I'm going to switch my inventory to "private" for obvious reasons. Since I didn't manage to sell my stuff in time, I'll have to do that when I get back. Could any of you get me permanently banned so I could appeal as soon as I get back? Thanks in advance.

Honestly, donations weren't sustainable and accepting items was causing us a lot of problems. I won't go into detail or reasons why.

Nobody is forcing you to pay. The service will remain completely free and your use of Outpost will never cost you anything. If you would like the premium features, then you'll have to pay. It's what provides us with stable income to allow us to keep everything else free.

I do not critisize you, this measure was completely understandable and I saw it coming. The website and the user base is getting wider every day, and that requires powerful servers. Upgrades, broken hardware, bills - everything requires money, and the bigger the website gets, the more you'll have to spend to keep it online.
So, at this point I'd like everyone to look at the latest update from a different side, too.

Yes, this system is a source of non-stop income but I think we all agree with the fact that it's exactly what we would never want to see on tf2op.

So, in fact we can just add any admin (well, except for those who clearly state not to add them to appeal the ban) to appeal? I just don't wanna get on one's nerves with my problems.

I believe most of the staff do that because of the mass amount of adds they get every single day due to problems that can easily be solved in the site or in the forums. Every minute one spends talking to a user is one less minute working/managing the site. And 95%, if not more, of these adds are just complaints, curses, bribes or threats.

This was obvious but I just didn't feel like adding some mod to appeal since I had no clue how does the appeal system work since the site update. Been banned for 5 months, so I must have missed something I assume. Thanks for the help though.

I wouldn't have said that if I had no point, obviously. The only one who was dealing with appeals was Mr. Rager but since he's not "on duty" now, I thought that there's nobody you could appeal the ban to since mods' profiles usually say "Do not add me to appeal your ban, do that on the website" and stuff like that. Also, I didn't mean to be rude in any way, I agree that I should have probably rephrased myself.

From what I've seen, no matter what you've done to deserve a permanent ban, nobody cares since there are thousands of appeals being made every day. Nobody has time for this anymore since Mr. Rager has "retired". I've also been looking for someone to look again into my appeal but as I said already, who cares. TF2OP is not a professional orgnisation where people have to do their job, if you know what I mean, it's just a group of people who decided to make a website just to make trading easier.

Rager was head of bans and appeals but not anymore, so I don't know what to do now.

As I can see Mr. Rager doesn't handle appeals anymore and the "banned" page contains no info on where and who to appeal the ban to.
