There's not really much point in that unless you're really tight on bandwidth. That said, you can always fork it on Github and modify the interval yourself/add a setting.

There is no flashy text, that I know of.

The hijacker uses the credentials your friend used to log in to the website to operate his account, so, yes. But it's nothing more mysterious than you accidentally telling someone your password.

Rainbow is just made by colour coding each individual letter and it's a horrible, horrible thing to do.
