I don't know what the refresh rate is, but it cannot always be correct or it would be 'calling up' the steam servers many times upon each page-load.

What themes are you using?

The problem here is that what you're suggesting is pretty serious, but cannot be reproduced by anyone else to check/fix it.

I was using my VirtualBox Ubuntu 12.04 to try and prepare a complete Steam and TF2 install to port to my installed Ubuntu because I thought it was more convenient to have that done in the background. Although the game does not start because of graphics driver issues in VirtualBox, I noticed that I already got the drop.

It seems even trying to start and failing with an error message is enough to get the drop.
