There are a lot of things to consider when it comes to implementing such a feature:

1) Bots add more load to the server(s);
2) They require constant supervision and maintenance (thanks to Steam);
3) There will always be a shortage of bots to handle the user base;
4) Many people will try to launder stolen/hijacked items through these bots, and they will be trade banned/locked every once in a while because of this and other minor issues;
5) Automated trading is not the goal of TF2OP (there are many other sites for that);
6) People will try to impersonate these bots, and this will generate more scam reports and more work to the TF2OP and SR admins;

That's exactly the point. Some are offended, some are not. There are different events that affect different people, depending on where they live. A Boston citizen may be offended by that stickybomb nametag, but some other foreigner wouldn't. But that's a localized attack in a single nation, in a single city.

How about worldwide events? People making fun of the holocaust? Should we ignore that also because it "supposedly only affects Jews"? How big or meaningful something must be for us to take action against it? Or we should not take action at all and let people advertise whatever they want?

Every day I catch racism/racist comment reports, and I ban their owners without any pity. And sometimes I see reports like "That #xxxx craft number means blabla here in my country", and this number means absoutely nothing to a US or BR citizen. We see all kinds of things.

That's why I ask, where should we draw the line?

The problem to me lies in the question: Where do we draw the line?

There could be a victim or a relative of a victim of the Boston attacks using OP and being offended/hurt by this. The same thing could happen to a Jew looking at the swastika decal of some items.

Some people simply list items as attention magnets and put a ridiculously high price on them so noone will ever buy them. When we (staff) say or do anything about it they claim the items were for sale, although the fact is that their primary goal was not to be sold, but to help another "cause".

I'm not saying this is your case (I didn't review it), but with so many people doing it, it's understandable why it was closed.
