Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about controlling an octopus that tries to blend in to human life. The game comes from a collage game called Octodad (Duh). The game is really creative as how an octopus is trying to blend in and do basic tasks a human would do...But after the 3rd level of the game Octodad: Dadliest Catch starts demanding you to be stealthy and avoid this and that. Then the game loses itself under generic, bland, and unoriginal stealth missions. Yet is the game still good. Well lets find out

The story (Warning Spoilers)
The story of Octodad is kept simple for the most part. You are an octopus that raises a family and tries to blend in to human tasks. Yet after going shopping Scarlet (his wife) takes him and the kids (Tommy and stacy) to the aquarium. Of course this is when the game loses its charm. Of course since he's an octopus he has a fear of the aquarium. Then after being tricked by the chef in the first game by making a mannequin of Scarlet he is thrown into the aquarium where Octodad thinks about how he met Scarlet (For unknown reasons) The chef finds where his family is and begins to tell them his secret. Octodad comes to the cafeteria where they really know how Octodad really was an octopus. The Chef tries to kill the octopus yet fails in an attempt. Octodad forgives the chef for his wrong doing. Tommy and stacy then ask where they came from and it ends with them having a laugh. So do you notice my problem with this game yet? No? Well lets get to the gameplay.

The Gameplay
The gameplay is completely mouse based. The controls are simple use mouse1 to move your left leg and mouse 2 to use your right leg. The first couple of levels are fine because your an octopus trying to go shopping, making lunch, housecare, and attending your wedding. Yet once we get to the aquarium...the game forgets its purpose. Thats the big stain on this suit. The game becomes a stealth game...a bad stealth game. Levels 4-10 are basically Hide from this and all this complicated garbage that it makes you get sick of it. Also other flaws are how short the game is. I beat the game in a good 2 hours. There isn't even much replayability to this game though. I loved the original. So what happened with the sequel?

The Verdict
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a small yet enjoyable game. But the stealth, the length ruins all of it. The game ends right when it picks up. The game is still fun and you will still enjoy it with fun and rage once your done.
