You can argue the devs are working on things all you want, but after waiting months and months, this game was released barely playable with the bad queue times alone being a huge problem. Even if they fix it in the future, which at this point I won't hold my breath for because it should've been dealt with by now ( it's not just from lack of monster, it's from lack of players in general ). I couldn't get into a game after 20 minutes and from watching some smaller streamers who aren't kissing the devs ass, they'd wait that same amount of time to get curb stomped by players who were playing the game long before them. Whether the problems with the game are understandable or not, people aren't going to be pleased waiting that long for a match to play for 2 minutes.
It's hard for me not to compare it to DBD because I have roughly 2k hours in it... however, I compare it favorably. I think most people who like DBD will like this game in the long-term. It's still early in development and people forget that DBD released with 3 killers as well. When DBD first came out, I played it and though "this game isn't for me," only to come back a year or 2 later to love the game to this very day. It may take time to catch on for some... but it will... you wait and see!
I suck at Elden Ring and think it's too hard, does it make it a bad game? Fuck no. Elden Ring is great.
