Early Access Review
I'm giving this game a thumbs up because it deserves support and I don't mean to tarnish its reputation, but as awesome as this game is, I can't actually recommend it.
The developers would have been much better off charging $20 at the door for this and using the money to fund development. It's a great game that's held back by some serious problems, progression is nearly impossible and the otherwise very fun game is really nothing but frustrating.

The Positives:
Phenomenal gameplay
Great Atmosphere and graphics
Excellent locational damage system
Awesome crosshair mechanics
Good enemy variety
Good class variety
Fair management systems and UI
PvE combat is great; the player is forced to pick their battles and use time management. Fighting more powerful enemies is a high-risk high-reward situation.
Access to content for the free to play player is very reasonable.

The Negatives:
Spyware anti-cheat system is very crappy.
The game has some performance and optimization issues that pull more power than necessary.
Intense entry level barriers for new players.
PvP system is incredibly imbalanced and only takes away from the game experience.
Game is designed for party play and extremely unfriendly to single players. This would not be nearly as bad if not for the pvp system, except that spellcasters are also quite reliant on other party members to help them restore spell slots through campfire placement.
The lack of gameplay modes causes considerable issues between players with different playstyles that make the game practically unplayable for some people. Imbalanced PvP issues cause constant situations where skill level is irrelevant.
Completely unforgiving death mechanics that cause a full inventory reset, which means spending a few hours progressing quickly results in losing all of your gear.
Extraction time is too short and portal availability is too slim.
Spellcasting targeting system is a bit jank and it's easy to miscast buffs onto an enemy.

For context, I play primarily survival and souls-borne style games. I welcome difficult games that punish players for lacking skill and i'm no stranger to losing all of my in-game goods. Sure, it's frustrating to die and lose progress knowing that it was your own fault, but it's a different problem when the loss is completely out of your control.
