Dynasty Warriors 8 is pretty good from the one mission I played. Only thing that stood out to me is there are no button prompts necessarily, only these sorts of icons showing the action. Also, if you're coming from Nintendo Warriors, Samurai Warriors is much closer to that style as here the game is very non-linear and all characters are unlocked from the start.

This review was made only shortly after the tutorial fight, so please take it with a grain of salt.
I think at least so far this is a pretty fine port. The only things are that the backgrounds are clearly AI upscaled and that for some reason the battle sounds are very low quality. However, if I know modders I know they'll fix those in no time.
And of course, the game itself is great.

Update (one day after original review): I will say though if you are comfortable with emulation the only thing you're really losing is the custom difficulty as save states can act as quick saves, Retro Arch Steam has cloud saves, and it isn't all too hard to make a keyboard set up for Persona.

“Alright, one more time...”
Hades is great, honestly it's the only Rogue-Like I've truly been able to get into.
The gameplay is great and so is the writing, being very fun and very accurate to Greek Mythology.

Dungeon Defenders II is generally pretty solid.
It's got a nice learning curve (for the love of Apollo do not try to play this game like Fortnite or Orcs Must Die like I did) and the good ol Free to Play model which here I'd say here is pretty respectable since it's Player Versus Environment.

I give Orcs Must Die 3 AAA Games/10
It's kinda poetic that this series would end up hitting this sort of modernization when the first game was so simple.
Orcs Must Die 3 is still good, but it suffers from things. The War Scenarios are alright, but when you get into branching paths, then it feels like you need a second player to win them.
Also, the game is just less fun than the other two, it's like the game has been lost to corporate.
OMD 1-2 were like indie games, OMD 3 is like AAA games.

I give Orcs Must Die 2 a Sequel/10
Orcs Must Die 2 is what a good sequel should be, taking the original, and making things better. It's more complex, but it still works.
And again, the writing. The dynamic between the Sorceress and Max is fun.
Though I do find the fact that you can only use one of them per save file is weird, but that's the least of problems.

I give Death Road to Canada, an Arcade Game/10

It's simple, replayable fun. Death Road to Canada doesn't have all too much of an end goal. Instead, you more or less make yourself a goal. You could try to complete every mode or get every achievement or something else.
There are still Rogue-Like unlocks but they're not as large as something like unlocking a new character in The Binding of Isaac
It's like an Arcade game, you play it over and over again, so you can bank that highscore.

I'm not sure how to review an Emulator. Anyway, it's good. I would recommend using it for most consoles, except for some like the DS or Wii that require more complex configuration.

I give Orcs Must Die an Old-School Game/10
Orcs Must Die is simple, and that's a good thing. It's rather short compared to modern day games, but that's because of the replay value in getting 5 Skulls [Stars] in every level and using them for upgrades. Also, the writing is great, I love it.
Though when I give this game an Old-School Game/10 I also mean that in the game has aged somewhat. Like, it doesn't have rebinding and subtitles.
Orcs Must Die is like an Old-School Game you'd find on the SNES, it's short, simple fun.

Hyperbolica is solid, but if I'm honest it feels more like a tech demo.
