Yeah, its ok.

Honestly feels like an Elden Ring mod that mashed Seriko and ER together and sprinkled some extra nostalgia with souls bosses.

1 Map, a handful of bosses, characters with mostly same same but different but still same combat and a whole lot of repetition.

There are tons of roguelites that offer a lot more, Roboquest, Streets of Rogue, Heroes of Hammerwatch, Risk of Rain, Hades to name a few, these all do roguelite better, with progression that generally feels better with more and more unlocks to get further or add more variety, and most offer great multiplayer.

On the positive, the combat is fast, smooth and has typically a lower difficulty bar than other from soft titles because you play with 3 people, enemies can hit hard and you do little damage, but going 3v1 through a boss does make it substantially easier than if it was a solo game with 3 times the stats. The game also looks great thanks to the techniques employed by from soft.

Just play the original with slightly worse graphics for a more enjoyable experience.
Don't expect anything special here, its the original game with the original texture files pulled out of storage and now in higher resolution, it looks like AI up-scaling has been used on some.
I got this for controller support which the original 2009 game didn't really have, turns out this one doesnt either.
Running on a 3090 and 5900x, the game stutters a lot, the 1% lows are around 40 fps at 1440p.

Tiny levels with barely any actual movement, loading screens for cut scene after cut scene

Don't know about the performance issues others were having, it ran fine for me but the visuals are disappointing for a 180GB game.

Can the half life Alyx team just lead development for all VR titles please?

Entirely too much fun, has great controls and a very 'enders game' feel to it, wish it had more campaign or the ability for custom scenarios
