DO NOT BUY. Devs do not know how to deal with cheaters, which has resulted in over half of the playerbase leaving in the first week post launch.

Devs do NOT validate any player actions with the server, which is why cheaters can kill you all the way across the map because the server trusts the client when they say "Hey I hurt player X please damage them for me"

They repeatedly go back and forth with these insane balance patches that nerf their hunter side into the ground. What devs fundamentally believe is that:

- Mercs should be able to do whatever they want in game and not face any threat whatsoever from the Alien
- Mercs should be balanced if they choose to go in solo against an Alien duo
- Aliens should only be a threat to duos and solos IF and only if the Alien duo plays extremely well together
- Aliens should never be a threat to a three man group regardless if they have end game loot or not
- Aliens should be able to be wiped out by bullets even though Devs state that light should be the primary damager to Aliens and that they're bullet resistant.
- Aliens should not be able to use entry level abilities and the Devs themselves stated on Discord "It's not fun being spat on every 20 seconds" even though the entry level ability is used to douse flares and can only do 10 damage max.
- The Aliens don't even have a workable Mutation system while the Mercs do (they're called Perks you can equip)
- Aliens DO NOT deserve events because they're released only 2 events and both have been Merc only.

So now, with merc groups of 3 showing up, which used to be annoying but if you played your cards right can beat them with a second alien, are now nigh impossible to beat. If you down a merc and another merc kills them, you DO NOT get credit for that kill so you don't get any extra money which is the whole point of the alien in the first place.

If I could refund this pile of garbage I would, I have already refunded the copies I've gifted to people, and there's a reason the vast majority of the playerbase has left in the FIRST WEEK despite these clueless Devs having MONTHS of feedback to fix their crap.

On the Discord if you bring up any criticism the Devs will harass you and some people who brought up good points where banned from the server, and they give the excuse that "It's Early Access" as if I should be happy to have the privilege to pay $27 to beta test their garbage they've had 2 betas already and IGNORED the changes from players.

Then if you bring this up their little TinyBuild lapdogs will step in to any dissenter and say "be respectful" even though nothing wrong was said. I imagine they will start purchasing positive reviews like every other small dev studio does when they realize their game nosedives and are trying to push this game to the console platform.

Don't buy this game and stop supporting these POS devs. They'll time you out, ban you from the Community Discussion, ban you from Discord, ban you from the game because everyone's flagging everyone else as cheaters. They have no path forward, they fundamentally DO NOT believe in their own vision of the game since they keep releasing "balance patches" that constantly tilt the playing field, and are interested only in suppressing negative reviews or using bots to make their game look appealing.

On Thursdays I am eradicating the bug menace, on Fridays I'm introducing Skynet to high yield explosives from orbit. On Sundays? I thank Super Earth for allowing me to live with peace, freedom, and managed democracy.

Edit: I haven't been able to play for several days, and do not recommend this game anymore. When it was working it was fun. Except now I have to sit in a queue for hours, have the game crash 5 minutes into a mission, just to have to do it all over again.

Not worth the money, and I'm gonna try and get a refund.

I personally love going into a new game match where the opposing players already have everything unlocked and can do the cheese meta plays.

The idea is interesting, the balancing isn't. The graphics look nice though, but had a crash already and a matchmaking error.

Edit: I've played more time on the game, and my review has not changed. In order for me or my teammates to have a shot at winning, you're basically stuck playing meta builds because the balance is bad. If you're a light, you essentially need the cloak and glitch grenades. If you're a Medium, you're forced to carry the Defib because it's best in slot, and most likely the healer to keep the Heavy up. If you're a heavy, you see guys double up with the barrier shield and dome to protect with Cashout coverage.

Yeah, you can be cute with stun grenades and goo and pyro or whatever, the reality is that the core Best in Slot items don't really change.

Game was basically putting in Mesghingun Assets from Unreal Marketplace and just making it darker lmao

If you don't believe me, go to Meshingun Apocalyptic Hospital Pack (released 2022) and then play the Hospital map. The things that were changed were some decals and making the sky-atmosphere darker.

Phasmo was flipping assets too but at least it was an original idea, this is just a phasmo rip with some crappy jump scares.

Game keeps crashing, even with updated GPU Drivers (RTX 2080 Super and i9 10850K and 96GB Ram)

Too much desync and too inconsistent to be worth a damn.

Campaign Review Only:

I now know why this campaign had a delayed release of a month. There is absolutely nothing spectacular to do with respect from the main storyline. It's just "freeing outposts", "helping the same squads", picking up spartan cores, picking up mjolnir cosmetics, killing "high value targets" which are nothing more than damage sponge beefier enemies with a different name.

I COMPLETELY beat the game and got all the cosmetics and sidequests and EVERYTHING in less than 10 hours on Heroic difficulty. This game isn't worth $60.
