The **best NFS game in decades!** Don't let the whiners and cry babies dissuade you from trying this out. Don't miss out on the online experience either.
To put it simply, this is first NFS in years that has received 2 years of support and still going. Criterion have listened to feedback and improved the game. And the brand new Lockdown mode is just the most fun mode in a car racing game ever.

Absolutely stellar. Batman Arkham combat system with LotR setting and lore. While the story isn't cannon it does it's job and the gameplay is one of a kind. A lot of complicated systems that tie together very well. Being able to take out 50+ orcs in combat just feels amazing.

Lord of the Hunt DLC is meh, Bright Lord DLC sets the stage for Shadow of War's gameplay.

The Trials seem daunting at first but as long as you take the time to farm level 25/26 runes in the base game AND learn the combat and movement systems, along with dominating Warchiefs to riot, the Tests become very rewarding to complete.

More of Just Cause 2.

If you go into this game like it's a serious shooter you are going to be disappointed. Instead you need to approach it like a parody film. Think Austin Powers instead of James Bond, Hot Shots instead of Rambo; and you'll have a great time.

The game and dialogue takes itself too seriously which is when the Austin Powers angle works so well. I wish the devs would actually make the game in that light. I mean there are only so many times you can grapple and head slam into a wall before you start laughing instead of being frustrated.

That being said, the dialogue and voice acting is top notch. Characters are funny and charming. The DLC is fun and adds new amazing toys to play with. Lots of stuff to blow up and outposts to clear. The only negatives I would say are:

1. Movement can sometimes feel sluggish until you learn to grapple, parachute, glide seamlessly and take advantage of that

2. The upgrade system where you have to literally clear over a hundred side missions. Just too much and getting max scores are very frustrating on some. Thankfully you can use a save file for upgrades only.

First don't trust my 93 hours playtime. I played for an year on PS4 and another year on the Blizzard version before the Steam time.

Problems with this game have persisted for 2+ years before it went f2p
Game is not even F2P, don't have the latest expansion means don't have the best guns for PvP and PvE
Payed expansion guns and supers have always been broken OP in PvP
Lots of cheaters in PvP (Oh what happened Destiny subreddit? I though there couldn't be any cheaters in Destiny?! lmao)

F2P part is just a lame demo
Stuff players paid for was removed from the game rofl

Already paid for the expansion? Well then you can now pay for battle pass cause otherwise you'll miss out on the story!

Bungie is the problem with Destiny, just as much as Activision was. They do not know how to create a balanced evolving world. Nor do they listen to feedback until there is huge backlash.

Recent transmogrification is the grindiest most convoluted system in any game.

Steer clear of Destiny 2

Do NOT waste your money on this garbage. Go buy the MS Store (Xbox) version instead!

For reference, Ryzen 3700X + RTX 3080 + 32 GB DDR4@3600 Mhz installed on a Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe

* Constant stuttering and frame drops
* Stuttering and frame drops from 144 fps to 3 fps during loading cutscenes (dancing moron-o-tar)
* 100% guaranteed 1s delay after crossing the finish line
* 100% guaranteed 2-3s game stuck state every 10 mins of playtime. The game literally freezes and resumes causing you to crash your car in multiplayer races.
* Game stops detecting controller every 10 mins, basically the game thinks no controller is connected and "soft" disconnects the controller for 0.5s causing car crashes

The majority of these issues were not encountered before the 2 hour refund window. It takes 2 hours just to unlock all activities and to then realize the game performs like garbage.

If this review seems sparse and full of technical issues that is because the game is full of technical issues and not enjoyable.

I will gladly change my review to the actual game when these issues are completely fixed.

* Fixed the stuck stuttering after crossing the finish line but all other problems remain including crashing

* Fixed a lot of stuttering but introduced more frequent crashes.
* Also I figured out that the game pausing for 2-3 seconds every 10 mins happens if Windows Task Manager had EVER been opened before or during the game

* Lag after crossing the finish line has returned
* Random crashes increased in frequency
* The Magnate star card will not progress
* Ultimate Edition Crown Flair is still missing

* Lag after crossing the finish line No more finish line lag
* Random crashes Crashes seem to occur when servers are having issues
* No more stuttering, the only stuttering left is what you'll find in every game
* Loading scene stuttering still present but this is acceptable as it doesn't really affect gameplay
* The Magnate star card will not progress
* Ultimate Edition Crown Flair is still missing
* Rank does not update in Ranked Adventure if even 1 person leaves any race

Best NFS in years

Do not buy this game unless you are very curious and can find it on a 90% discount! Don't let the Kojima fanboys fool you, this game is terrible. It's an insult to actual masterpiece games to call this game a "masterpiece"

* Walking simulator that becomes a zipline simulator soon enough
* Save and load game spam simulator cause it is easier to reload a save than to try to undo a ♥♥♥♥ up
* Any horror goes out the window the moment you get a Bola gun
* Terrible writing and terrible story
* Dialogue is cringe
* Same old boring Kojima tropes like 4th wall breaking, "game over" "game over" "continue" "reset" that have existed since MGS1
* Same reused end boss fight mechanic from MGS4
* Vehicle physics are purposely rigged to be bad - try driving a truck sideways on the 1m inclined ramp of a safe house, the 1 tonne truck starts slipping down lmao
* The ONLY good thing I will say is taking out MULE camps via stealth is great similar to MGSV but you can also do the same by going in loud, camping a point and waiting them to come at you one at a time. AI is piss poor
* Too many features that could have been greatly improved via QoL changes - materials need to be loaded in a truck and carried to upgrade structures/roads. Most require multiple trips
* The landscapes look amazing from a distance until you take a closer look at the grass/rock textures and realize they are extremely blurry and pixelated
* The OST is borrowed or rather music that was created by other artists and NOT for this game. Calling it an OST is an insult to OSTs from games like Destiny, Halo, Final Fantasy, Uncharted etc etc
* This game is not "relaxing". Fall down and you hear a baby crying. Do not know what type of people find that "relaxing". BT areas have horror music cues + BTs make a gurgling noise + BB crying. Not relaxing. MULE areas have tense music cues. Not relaxing.
* People who argue that this game is "relaxing" should go free roam in actually good games with great open worlds like Horizon Zero Dawn, GTAV, Just Cause series, Assassins Creed etc etc. Far better landscapes and beautiful vistas
* Speaking of landscapes there is an ever present fog in this game that literally blocks off landscape past 400 meter. When a mobile game like Genshin Impact let's you see everything and go everywhere

Too many bugs to count.

Performance is terrible on recommended hardware irrespective of max or min settings. Forget a constant 60 fps unless you own a RTX 3080 or higher.

A lot of features hinted to and shown in trailers and gameplay footage are missing from the game.

AI means all NPCs duck at the same time when you fire a weapon, cops spawn 2 feet behind you when you commit a crime and guards see bodies through walls/floors/ceilings during "stealth" missions.

Too many bugs to count (yeah I know I already said this).
