I'm a huge fan of zachtronics games (SpaceChem, Infinifactory) and I was hoping this game would scratch that itch.

It didn't.

There are some really mature sandbox build games. I was hoping the campaign would set this game apart—but the beginning is so hard. The initial line follower is difficult, I ended up copying the tutorial. Then, you have to complete additional objectives to unlock anything past the second level (another line follower).

I feel the buildup could be much better in the campaign. Otherwise, I'm still learning the game.

Dedicated server doesn't exit when you kill it. Thus I have a hung process at 1.2GB RAM usage. Had a hurtworld.exe running for several days before I caught it. Also, devs are jerks online. Not worth $24. Other games in same genre that are better.

If you're into platform games like Super Meat Boy, you'll appreciate this game. Haven't tried the multiplayer, but I've added it to my party list, we'll see how it turns out.

If you like hoplite on android, you'll love this game.

Pros
+ Gameplay is a fun and complex puzzler
+ Runs smooth

Cons
- One custom game and you've experienced everything
- Little replay value compared to similar games (Factorio, SpaceChem)
- No real puzzles, just variations with different win conditions.

This game isn't worth the price (Got it in the Humble Bundle!). DLC isn't worth it either. I'd pay $5 max for this.

I can't recommend this game while the tutorial is broken. In chapter four several of the moves are very difficult to combo. They don't match up with online vids either. I'm guessing the devs changed something and forgot to fix the tutorial.

*Edit*
After skipping a particular tutorial I'm learning about combo stages and IPS. It wants me to perform a long combo that activates the IPS. I barely missed a connection which reset the tutorial's move tracker, but after continuing I still activated the IPS. So frustrating.

I recommend this gamepad. Be aware of these things though:

- Joystick is located horizontally (PS4) to thumb instead of vertically (Xbox).
- Trackpads have a learning curve for FPS games. Otherwise they are amazing.
- 1 year warranty. Took 3-4 weeks for replacement when my 'A' button broke. However, the process was super easy. Kudos to Steam.

I have not experienced any battery compartment issues.

I enjoyed the storyline, very funny, light-hearted, and refreshing. Great local co-op with a keyboard+mouse and gamepad.

This seems like a small DLC for the price tag. However! I specifically paid full price because I want to support the developer. Considering I generally dislike the idea of DLC and furthermore RTS is my least favorite genre, I absolutely love everything about Infested Planet. I was excited to hear a DLC was coming out, and I budgeted it for the soonest payday after release. Now excuse me, I have some fresh-bought DLC to break in!

Great game, great dev. Possibly one of the best games in my library.
