pretty good

Still ♥♥♥♥. Gameplay sucks, not the bugs.

Game is alright. If it's trying to compete with overwatch it needs more polish. Between no regs inputs having funny timing or simply being eaten and not recognised, this game has a lot of scuff. With that said, it starts you off with about 75% of the roster unlocked with a large variety of play styles between the free ones. I haven't seen how the paid-for characters are balanced but Barbatos is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (and free) so I assume you could just pick him and bully the op guy until he switches.

Game is kind of expensive for MTX, battle pass at 10 dollars but doesn't really have anything worth the grind for. The skins can be colorful and bright but are also entirely recolors and literal reskinning (they don't have the wow factor of actual new models like apex or overwatch does). The means for free paths to new units is also unclear, it seems their 'beginner challenge' path is where you receive trickles of f2p currency and the free battle pass awards roughly half of what you need to buy a new unit around level 20 and 55. This could potentially become an issue and I'll change my review if I feel like I'm getting a ♥♥♥♥ in my salad.

With all of this in mind, I still think the game is fun. You get 12 characters for free and if you play it casually you shouldn't have an issue.

Fun game. Play the demo, see if it's for you. It captures what it's about pretty well.

If you have a PC VR setup (and you probably do if you're looking here) go check out any other VR hangout game, like ChilloutVR or Neos. VRC refuses to add anything to better the experience of their players unless the community goes into open revolt, and even then they back hand everyone with anticheat systems designed to secure their future cryptocurrency and NFT grift coming up. Waste your time somewhere else, this isn't it.
