An unexpectedly good game, that is an excellent choice to to play on Steam Deck.

I was hoping for something a little more engaging. Something that felt like it progressed when I wasn't playing. This game isn't it. The potential is there, and maybe a future game by someone else will build upon the games foundations. Even on sale I can't to recommend this game, as I got it for $6 CAD and I feel I threw my money to the wind.

I love the concept, but the execution is a failure.

PS: The game is poorly optimized. A lot of stuttering and unacceptable lag. A real let down.

Flawless Sega Genesis emulation.

Shallow game, without much replayability. Even at this cheap price, I do not feel I got my monies worth.

One of my all-time favourites. Has a satisfying gameplay loop, and I keep coming back for more. I've 100% the game, and still never struggle to find things to do. These developers pulled off one of the hardest things in this industry... they made a unique game that was fun to play. One of a kind, I highly recommend.

I hope for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey 2. Maybe we can get some fire next time around.
