This game is something very special. As far as I am aware there is not, nor has there ever been, a game quite like this.

The conventional grand strategy we have come to expect from Paradox is all well and good, but the true heart of this game is in its roleplaying. Whether you're arranging marriages for your children or murdering someone else's, the interaction between characters is always at the forefront.

While it may seem an intimidating game at first, I find the emphasis on characters make it a lot more accessible than the other titles from Paradox. In simple terms, players are more easily able to make sense of people than numbers, and CKII is a game which caters to that excellently.
