Alright absolutely JUST STAY AWAY! I'm one who purchased this game upon it's first release before it failed and was relaunched into whatever the crap this is. I repeat again stay away. I've paid for the game once and as I suspected MyGames came in and slapped paid DLC and micro transactions everywhere. Stay away from this game. When it first came out the gameplay was far more realistic and now it feels like a watered down call duty + watered down Battlefield which basically gets you a basic arcade shooter with nothing unique about it. I would encourage you to go get Battlefield 2042 before this especially since theres only more microtransactions to come. Stay away from this game. You'll see reviews of people praising the game and saying it's fun and it sure can be. The gameplay is probably worth 15 bucks (at the most), but they're banking on microtransactions and DLC. I will be fair here and say the game also runs better than it did during it's first launch, but again I'd take 30FPS over the 90FPS I get here with what ever the heck this new version is. It wont hold your interest long though I promise that. Don't kid yourself (oh it's mixed reviews can't be that bad) DO NOT IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ! They're legit. And don't think you're getting a refund, they require you to install the MyGames launcher thus logging ingame time exceeding the 2 hour max playtime. Now you're sucked in then you buy DLC. They've already added stupid amounts of DLC for a crappy game and an upgrade kit for 250 DOLLARS USD DOLLARS ! That's insane. If that's not proof enough for you, you either have more money than brains or are just in denial and want the game. STAY AWAY !!!! Stay away! Spend your money elsewhere!
The game is garbage. Literally BF 2042 is better. But if you like spending money on garbage and EVEN more money to pile MORE garbage on top of it. Be my guest.

*update game was made free screwed all previous purchasers/backers. The devs seem to silence the history of the game on the steam discussion pages for WWIII. I wont name a specific developer, but there is one that seems to react emotionally, passing bans out. Free but microtransaction paradise. Low player count check steam charts. Abandoned. Dishonest developers. Cash grab.

Ever seen a Russian missile miss with 1000 flares near it's target? Nope. American missiles will chase a butterfly if it farts. Picture this. You're at 15,000ft MSL... in the distance you spot an enemy MIG... he fires a heat seeking missile at 4 miles. Now mind you you have the sun to your back. His missile picks you out of millions of incredibly hot nuclear explosions known as the sun. NOW picture this. You in your F16 are chasing after a mig on a -20F day. You lock your heat seeker on and FIRE at 3 miles. He's out of flares. It's tracking to hit, but all the sudden a butterfly at 15000 let's the worst smelling rotten egg fart RIP and bam your missile has picked a new target the innocent butterfly who had a little too much taco tico the other night. Tragedy really... for you and the butterfly, but mostly the butterfly.
Remove or decrease repair costs. MAJOR gaijin fail... AIM9Ls will chase anything that farts. They have a preference for distant teammates vs the enemy. Then punish the players monetarily. This is another scammy technique they use that needs corrected. I understand the "realism" aspect of missiles chasing all heat signatures, but for the sake of the game remove this feature. It's annoying on every level known to man and simply ruins the game for both parties. Additionally you'll watch Russian missiles and french missiles lose their target ahead and snap over in a sea of flares grab another target and hit that guy instead. It's HIGHLY unlikely super unrealistic and far fetched.
Great game otherwise.
UPDATE: Well here we are a year later. 7/15/2024. Repair costs are better, but still an issue. Premium vehicles should NOT retain a repair cost. Repair costs are high enough to still bankrupt you if you don't have at least 1 AA kill in jets. Russian Bias hasn't changed in the slightest.
Update: 6/5/2025.... same issues. Repair costs still need work (better). Missiles are still weird and Russian bias is just unreal. For example - I watched a Mig take a AIM9L to the face detonation and all.... no damage. Talisman on some aircraft should be reduced or what talisman gives should be increased for the price point. For instance to talisman an F16 it's 25-30 dollars in golden eagles.... it doesn't gain enough for that price point. That's charging for a premium aircraft (given it had to be unlocked) then not giving premium aircraft benefits. Additionally, I dont understand why premium purchased vehicles still after years retain a repair cost at all?
The A-10 requires a re-work. The SU25 and A10 shouldn't be in the same BR. The A10 is paper and also can hardly fly on 1 engine. Totally innacurate. The A-10 pops apart so easily HIGHLY incredibly innacurate. This is a quality of the SU25 (popping apart like paper) NOT a quality of the A-10. The a-10 can take a beating from the SU25's main cannon and the A-10 should be able to easily take 1 missile and still keep flying. Facts.

I mean as the name says "Squad" it's very team based. If you don't work together your have just about 0 chance of winning in less the other team is more disorganized (retarded) than you. If you go off on your own you might snag a few kills, but you'll get killed. If you're solo arcade style player your not going to like this at all. If you like working with a team and strategic combat then this is definitely a great game for you.
I give it 5 stars.

A final note is I find it annoying how you get shot in the back of a truck and just fall out. Theres 4 guys between me and the back of the truck + a tailgate and you go flying out. It's really annoying.

Just stay away.... It's no different than Ark Survival Evolved except it's on the ocean. I mean it's ok, but it takes too long to build ships to be any fun for the type of game it is. Honestly go spend your money on Sea of Thieves 100x more fun than this and less frustrating. If your an Ark Survival Evolved player then your going to quickly realize after purchasing Atlas, that you bought a re-skinned Ark Survival Evolved.

If your trying to decide between Atlas or Sea of Thieves get Sea of Thieves
If your just trying to decide whether to purchase atlas or not save your cash because it's a waste to spend it on Atlas.

Cool murder mystery game. Sort of like Clue but VR. If you like investigative games, this is a great one.

Everybody knows what Beat Saber is. It's a fun game.
I recommend ragnarock if you like a more basic style than this. (also resembles Guitar Hero wii drums)
